About this deal

This is a solid state, portable amplifier, meaning that in simple terms it’s relying on modern tech to give yo a crisp output, and none of them old-school tubes you hear the purists (quite rightly) raving about. Controls: 1/4" Channel: Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, Chorus. Microphone Channel: Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble. As to which is the best practice amp for acoustic guitarists, I would have to give the nod to Acoustasonic. I’ve always been a Fender guy in the interest of full disclosure, but I believe that even in a blind comparison, I’d have chosen so.

Most guitarists, myself included, would rather play through a great-sounding amp that looks terrible than through a great-looking amp that sounds terrible. Fortunately for anyone interested in the Fender Acoustasonic 15 amp, this little 15-watt soldier sounds every bit as good as it looks. What’s important, the amp has the XLR Mic and the 1/4″ Instrument inputs, so it’s perfect for all solo artists who want to sing and play the guitar at the same time.

Enough about the amps’ impressive aesthetic and specifications; let’s get to where the rubber really hits the road for any musician: how does the Acoustasonic 15 sound? Tone On The Fender Acoustasonic 15

The Acoustasonic 15 is a portable solid-state amplifier equipped with a single six-inch woofer and weighs a mere 4.7 kilograms. It has a 15-watt power output, making it ideal for bedroom practice and small gigs. The first thing you will notice about the Fender Acoustasonic 15 is that it is a small and lightweight amplifier, that makes it perfect for guitarists on the road. Many amp manufacturers have tried and failed when trying to find the balance between size and power, but the 15-watts of power for an amplifier of this size looks pretty good actually. It is a solid-state a small amp with a 6-inch Special Design full-range speaker with a Whizzer cone, that is proven to deliver an enhanced high-frequency response. Sounds nice for starters and this raised my hopes for this amp.

Lastly, the Acoustasonic 15 doesn’t feature a reverb effect. Undoubtedly, this amp would be much better with a built-in reverb instead of the built-in chorus! Speaker Description: 6 inch Special Design full-range speaker with whizzer cone for enhanced high-frequency response. Amps such as the Marshall AS50D have a notch filter and a frequency sweep control to really give you control over it. Others will have phase switches, on/off buttons that cut some of the low-end frequencies that can cause mischief.Fender has designed the Acoustasonic 15 in a way that makes it clear that it’s an acoustic amplifier, besides the name of course, it’s finished in a brown tolex, which is a color used by the majority of manufacturers for their acoustic amps. On the other hand, the 40-Watt version is a bit bigger and heavier, so it’s more difficult to carry around. This amplifier is not battery-powered but uses a fixed AC cable which means that buskers need to find a power source before performing. In addition, there are some convenient functions missing here such as reverb effect, external FX loop, footswitch connection, etc. but these are not a must-have for a beginner. The SFX looks like a breed apart from other acoustic guitar amps. It has a retro-minimism with its maple-ply cabinet evoking Danish modernism. This will look good in the home beside your Kaare Klint chairs, or the coffee shop, club, wherever you intend to play it.
