The texture of the paper is important for me as I use colored pencils for my work (due to the double-sided printing and the leak-through of markers.Different Designs in a variety of subjectsDesigns are printed on both sides of heavyweight soft white extremely smooth non-perforated paperMost designs spread across two pagesTwo page designs have a white strip running down both sides of the page at the bindingGlue BindingHad difficulty getting the book to open flat for coloringAlcohol-based markers bleed throughMost water-based markers bleed through spotty (exception was the brush end of my Tombows which did not bleed through)India ink pens left shadows on the back of the page. Kerby's colouring and doodling books, Animorphia, Imagimorphia, Mythomorphia, Fantomorphia, Geomorphia, Colourmorphia, Kaleidomorphia, Worlds Within Worlds, Fragile World, Mythic World, Alien Worlds and World of Colour published by LOM ART (Michael O'Mara Books), have been hugely successful and have sold over two million copies across 35 territories. I hope someone has taken pictures and posted them (very hard for me to do) but it is still difficult to see the detail in the posted pics. He considers his art as a personal hobby which became his part-time freelance work after being recognized by various design blogs, international magazines and online art communities.
If you go over the same area a few times you may find slight shadowing on the reverse, but it's not a major issue. There are still plenty of animals included, but this time they mostly incorporate mechanical elements like cogs and cables, which adds a lot more interest and variety than the little doodle monsters (still very much present! It actually weighs slightly more than the UK version – either a slightly heavier paper or the slightly larger size of book – or a combination of both of these.
I do wish the double page spreads weren't so difficult to get to in the spine; spiral or lay flat binding on this book would be a dream. I'm certainly a fan of Animorphia but did find it tedious at times that all of the images were animals, all with the same little alien doodles.
