About this deal

The RRP is the suggested or Recommended Retail Price of a product, set by the publisher or manufacturer. The author tells the story of how they became a dog called Midnight. They recount how they were living in a van with their partner and two dogs, and how they found themselves struggling to make ends meet.

I like how this book opened cheerfully but it suddenly turns to being sad after George gets a puppy but had to return it after his mum died. George and his father live next door to a family who have a very soppy dog. One night, George chases an escaped Midnight into the garden and they both fall into a fountain, magically lit by moonlight. A boy, a dog, and a magical body-swap adventure! Enter a world of wonder in the brand-new classic adventure from top-ten bestselling children's author, Ben Miller.A boy, a dog, and a magical body-swap adventure! Enter a world of wonder in this classic adventure from top-ten bestselling children's author, Ben Miller.

When they get home they find Lady Jane and Koko tied up near Clive and Clarence. George's dad confronts Clive saying the police is on the way. Once the police arrive George pushes Clive into the fountain, because Clive was midway throught the spell he bodied swapped with the fish Gogmagog which I found funny. Then it goes into present day where he and his dad are looking after Lady Jane's and Koko's house, Hill House, whiles they are away as George's dad is the estate manager. Gogmagog is an ancient carp that has lived in the lake forever. He hides to keep away from his enemy – the dog. The mix up happens when a boy called George and Clive’s dog Midnight had their minds swapped. I enjoyed it for its subtle and possibly unintentional humour, such as the time where George, in Midnight’s body, escaped the pound by sitting on one end of a seesaw while the other dogs sat on the other, throwing him over the fence. I recommend this book for most normal people under ten because it’s a fantasy book.
