About this deal

Once again, the set was almost overflowing with miniatures for each army, and featured the first appearance of dedicated models for Chaos Cultists, Chosen, and a reimagining of the Chaos Dreadnought of old in the form of a fearsome Helbrute . All perfectly suited to being splattered by the DAs plasma weapons, bolters, power weapons, storm bolters and assault cannon, all aided by the Psychic powers of the Librarian (Prescience being my favourite from the Divination set). All that disappeared in the 4th Edition Codex (as did a lot of other interesting DA stuff), but now seems back on the agenda. Not only was a new Tactical Squad featured in the set, rendered in far greater detail than before, but they were accompanied by an actual vehicle – no cardboard cut-out this time!

Dark Vengeance (Limited Edition) Warhammer 40,000: Dark Vengeance (Limited Edition)

I love the set as a DA player but I’m a bit worried about badly painted 16 year olds players DA armys coming out of the wood work as it looks like most of the models will take alot of conv work to make them other marines as it looks like even the tactic sq has DA s pads . As if these models weren't enough, Dark Vengeance comes with a full-colour 168-page mini Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook; a complete Assembly Guide; a quick-play reference guide; an army roster sheet; dice, templates and a how-to-play booklet including six scenarios to enact on the tabletop. Download a free copy of the Build Instructions (Assembly Instructions) for Warhammer 40K Dark Vengeance Box Set. The Dark Angel models consist of one Company Master, a Librarian, ten Tactical Marines, five Terminators, and three Ravenwing Bikes. In some cases I've cheated and added 'invisible' wargear in the form of melta bombs (Company Master and the Ravenwing Sergeant), and an psychic Mastery upgrade (Librarian). Belial isn't cheap but he does make the DW squad Troops and has very useful force-multiplying special rules to make them more effective. Another slight upgrade here is the transfer sheet which (unlike the Recruit Edition) has transfers for Ultramarines, Blood Angels, Space Wolves and the traitorous Dark Angels. This set offered a substantial haul of miniatures for both armies, making it not only a cracking way to get started with Warhammer 40,000, but a great foundation for a collection of each faction. Includes a step-by-step user guide for how to build Warhammer 40K Dark Vengeance Box Set, from plastic sprue, through to a completed model which is fully assembled and ready to paint.

Within the Craftworld's Infinity Circuit, they found the Ruin of Kher-Ys - the Spirit Stone of the Eldar whose actions allowed the Daemon Heartslayer to manifest on the Craftworld. Alongside Interrogator-Chaplain Seraphicus, this box contains enough miniatures to start a Dark Angels army, including: a Company Master armed with bolt pistol, power sword and combi-weapon; Librarian Turmiel, who carries a bolt pistol and force sword; Veteran Sergeant Raphael and his Tactical Squad; Deathwing Terminator Squad Barachiel; Sergeant Arion and a Ravenwing Bike Squadron that comes equipped with twin-linked boltguns. But that’s because we have stripped this down to the barest of comparisons here, single model divided by the cost of the set. Set apart by his modified helmet, decorative wing mounts and flowing robe, this guy looks as if he's ready to chop someone's head off in a single swipe.

I instantly took a dislike to my approach to the Crimson Slaughter and proceeded to do a u-turn on the project. Though it leaves me wondering, what about all of those other awesome Models we got in the Indomitus Set? The proliferation of plasma-based weaponry as an obvious and in my opinion, misplaced hark back to out 3. The pose is dramatic and the sculpt sets him apart from previous Librarian minis, while I can't help feeling that the Company Master is rather static in comparison even though this does give him a more commanding appearance.

Belial- who actually works out cheaper than a vanilla captain armed with the same gear- made deathwing troops in the old codex, the rumour is though deathwing are just flat out troops in the new one, no need for a special character etc.

Similarly, the previous edition’s myriad card explosion markers had been consolidated into three see-through plastic templates – one each for blast, large blast and flamer weapons – all the better to see what you were blowing to pieces! may have been a troubling year for many of us, but one ray of light amid the gloom has been the arrival of the biggest, most glorious boxed set we’ve ever made.
