I got the green skin but this doesn't protect the front and somehow the silver is already scratched off the front cursor button (within first 2 days), so I wish I'd got the full case now.
Last year we received the original LeapPad so JJ was familiar with that but the InnoTab was new to us.
I'm happy to report that now, a year later, that LeapPad is still going strong and in the hands of my 2-year-old.

Screen size, resolution, and other features such as headphone jack and USB port all remain the same. Technology can go both ways when it comes to kids (and adults), but I'm comfortable with not only the content I'm seeing on these two devices, but also with the time spent using them. Yet with even budget tablets offering great screens, some fantastic child-friendly games and education apps and better video playback, you wonder if they’d make a better long-term investment – and one the whole family can share. Leap Pad combines, familiar characters and stories with problem solving and critical thinking, to bring out the academic, in even the most unsuspecting children. As a parent, there is nothing better than having confidence in a product where I can hand it over without any reservations and worries that my child is accessing inappropriate content.
The majority of the apps we tried are clearly American and tailored to an American market, and the ‘Hey, Wow! My 5 year old got the hang of the games very quickly indeed and played for hours with his 3 year old brother watching and begging for a turn. The touchscreen really needs the stylus to work and even then isn’t all that responsive; any app where you have to tap twice in quick succession can be easily flummoxed. When he first turns it on, he sees a picture of himself (and his name) that he's since learned to tap on with the stylus to open up access to his apps.
It was most noticeable in the ebook apps where pages would turn or in games where new screens would need to be loaded.
