Both formulas contain 100% whey, partially hydrolyzed protein which is easier to digest than intact protein. Different kinds of goats' milk formula are available in pharmacies and shops. They are produced to the same nutritional standards as cow's milk-based formula. Do not add extra powder or water to make the feeds stronger or weaker and do not press powder into scoop. Using too much or too little powder can make your baby ill. We recommend preparing each feed in individual bottles when required. For hygienic reasons, discard unfinished feed in the bottle as soon as possible. Partially hydrolysed formula (comfort formula) is not suitable for babies who have cows' milk allergy. SMA ® Anti-Reflux is a special formula intended for the dietary management of bottle-fed babies when significant reflux (regurgitation) is a problem. It is suitable as the sole source of nutrition up to six months of age, and in conjunction with solid food up to 12 months of age. If the baby’s reflux does not improve within two weeks of starting SMA ® Anti-Reflux, or if the baby fails to thrive, the family doctor should be consulted.

General

It has less lactose than the standard Aptamil First Infant milk and should be used most times on recommendation from your healthcare professional. It's important to take extra care when making up and storing these products as powdered formula is not sterile and making it up at lower temperatures will not kill any harmful bacteria it may contain.
