About this deal

Mushin is achieved when a person’s mind is free from thoughts of anger, fear, or ego during combat or everyday life. It has had a greater impact on my game, and more importantly, my life, than I could have ever expected.

The mind could be said to be working at a very high speed, but with no intention, plan or direction. An introduction into short game, to expand your scoring skillset and also recognise how you can transfer these skills to enhance your whole game development. You get to enjoy 2 or 4 hours (9 or 18 holes) of time with your best friends or you get to meet people who are also excited about a sport you love.This first part is more about you as a person, and how well you fare in the areas of learning, open-mindedness, criticism, confidence, and awareness of thoughts.

If there’s too much thinking during this time, there’s doubt and tension which leads to impeded movement. This process elicits a much deeper understanding on a somatosensory level which invokes a sense of competence and more importantly confidence. I got into some areas of my thinking that I have not discussed in public before, and because we had a ‘cuppa’ it went on for over an hour. Parent’s use of golf as a metaphor for business is full of great insights that have helped our staff grow as people and professionals.There's only 6 places available on the trip to ensure a real personal experience with lots of 1-2-1 coaching to make real effective long term improvements to your game. The goal of this section is to allow you to execute a shot free from interference of mental chatter or paralysis by analysis. Not only has it given us more interesting options during lesson it also makes it much more fun for the students. I know the ideas in this book are good and true because I've learned most of them myself at one time or another in striving to improve my game. The opposite is when there is cognitive interference, or left-brain dominance as you are getting ready to hit. If so then maybe you need to attune your senses and enrich your learning environment when you practice.

There's a big difference as one method is restrictive and inhibiting of a functional sequence and the other method is free flowing, more in alignment with an effortless, powerful and repeatable kinetic sequence. I have played golf for over 45 years, and have achieved some success (handicap 11), that I would suggest establishes me as an above-average player.
