The author of this book was a Stanford graduate and belonged to the notorious John Birch Society in Orange County.The craziest thing about this nutty book, bible for the Birchers as it was, is that some people associated with today's Tea Party movement have notions to the right of Allen. This book gave me a clear understanding of the conspiracies that I used to think were just theories. It was distributed through to millions of Americans and helped create the conditions under which the 'Reagan Revolution' of the 1980s arose.
