It shares commonalities with various perfume oils like Al-Rehab Sultan al Oud and Al Haramain Black Oudh (without weed smell), among others. Lattafa is starting to kill some of these scents in mid 2023 so if you're on the fence about this grab it now. I've had this for two years now and this fragrance holds the title of the only Lattafa I still own and like, I've decluttered two, and sampled about another 5. Through the entire scene a rogue wind steals the smoke from the fire and hits your nose with ash from last night's fire instead. I wear it to work, a couple of sprays so that it’s present up to close but not shrieking from my skin.

Less of an oud scent on me and more of a generic synthetic woody scent, probably heavy on the Iso e Super. Both fragrances are for after hours, and used sparingly, for way after hours, though for date night I'd give Oud Mood the nod.Got my Margiela BTF from Copenhagen in 2018, barely used it because I am terrified of finishing the bottle. The clean sweet oud here is noticeably present but not overwhelmingly so, being superbly executed, much a result of the composition's truly exceptional blending. This unisex fragrance seduces with classic Middle Eastern incense notes topping a heart of mysterious. I still smell those light white floral notes in the background, but it's mostly woods with some sweetness. I have not experienced any original samples of "By the fireplace" or "Black Afghano" (only cheap clones), so I cannot judge how close or inspired "Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud" is by them.

A synthetic oud accord perhaps, but no oud 😉 I don't really smell anything too overtly oudy here, so if you hate that, you might not hate this.

It whispers its presence, adding an enigmatic aura to the wearer, akin to the soft, mysterious glow of embers in a fireplace.
