Firstly they are numbered XI through to XIV which takes away the argument/confusion on what numbers to allocate them for numerological purposes. Then she provides additional interpretations associated with where the card may appear in a spread – the past, the present or the future.Chapters for the Major Arcana have a small black-and-white reproduction of each card, a good collection of Keywords, a dozen or so Key Phrases. You will find that the four knights found in a traditional tarot deck are replaced with an advisor representing each of the four elements: The Hero(Fire), The Counsellor(Water), The Scribe(Air), and The Seneschal(water). It can certainly be used to transport the cards around, and is attractive as storage wherever one may choose to put it. It is somewhat exceptional in that it eschews the usual gratuitous padding outlining the putative history of the tarot, as well as the usual description of the inspiration, and artistic history of the deck’s creation. I like that there’s a IX Knowledge and X Wisdom card that follows VIII Death/Rebirth (each pictured above).
