In seeing how fragile life truly was, I found a new motivation to enjoy every aspect of life, and live every moment. I liked that she was completely honestly about her feelings at certain points in her career, she definitely wasn’t scared of sharing the lows as well as the highs. It’s a brave move to tell your own story in your own words, and to be so human and genuine in doing so.She was also named Player of the Tournament and has since won England Women's Player of the Year and been nominated for the 2022 Ballon d'Or Féminin and the BBC Women's Footballer of the Year 2022. In February 2022 she launched the Beth Mead Scholarship with Teesside University to support students who have the potential to reach a professional level in women's football. From childhood, Beth wanted to play football and was supported and encouraged by her parents and younger brother. I felt like I was having a conversation with Beth and she was just telling me her story sitting next to me.

Since this book came out, Beth has been voted Sports Personality of the Year for 2022 - quite rightly, in my opinion.

Motivational, touching, and very grounded in humanity, it's a great read that's left me excited to see what Beth does next in her football career.
