About this deal

While computer-controlled, the amiibo levels up as it fights, learning from its opponents as it does. Meta Knight can combo it into Down Smash or Dash Attack, and so long as you’re still prioritizing Down Smash over Down Tilt (they have similar ranges, so be careful training them both!

If you want a Meta Knight Amiibo without paying extra online, this one is likely your best bet for the foreseeable future. Meta Knight has been a strong character in Smash Brothers in the past and he is one of the baddest looking characters Nintendo has designed. Having Meta Knight ready for a sword fight is not only typical of the character, but reminds me of all of the boss fights in Kirby games where he looks like this.Functionality – As I mentioned in my Waddle Dee review, Nintendo currently says that this Amiibo only works in Kirby: Planet Robobot.

Despite the AI issues we mentioned above, it’s still a multihit move that builds damage and can reach the opponent from a distance. Yes, he WILL SD with this move if you teach him to use it in the air, but this move has a lot of … weird effects on the AI.First up is Mach Tornado: it doesn’t have much utility when used on the ground since it only hits once and isn’t safe on shield.

If your FP is already Level 50, that’s fine too — but you might want to just reset it and start from scratch. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. This isn’t meant to be a Meta Knight amiibo training guide, it’s actually much more in-depth, with most of the moveset being explained. I like how much metallic paint is on this figure and while it shines brightly in the pictures because of the large amount of lighting I use, Meta Knight looks great even in normal light.
