This book was quite the ride. I may be absolutely obsessed. The ending of the book left me a mess and so this review might frankly reflect the chaos of my mind.

First, thank you for the darkness you put in this book. I LOVE IT AND HIM! Guilty! :))) I loved how you put into words the beauty of the darkness and the danger in it. And how every living soul has a dark side. It all depends on how you use it. Everybody is a monster. I can't wait for the second book and I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE SECOND BOOK!!!!! I need book2 NOW!!!!! I need him free (I'm not sure I want Venison to survive his wrath:)))). I have a feeling in book2 we'll get one hell of a world-building, and I can't wait to read it. Dex and Gideon have a lot on their plates, personally and with their families, and I hope everything will turn out well for them. We all know death is only the beginning, so maybe death is not going to be the literal death, but something more powerful. So I'm very interested in what's going to come. WOW, I don't even know how to continue after that ending. How does one de-stress? How can one be stress-free? To be honest, I loved every second of this book. I had SO much fun reading it & I could not put it down once I started it. You know that feeling when you immerse yourself into a new book, a new world, and you don't wanna leave it? That's the feeling I got for this book! A Dark Wanderer appears and transforms into a random boss or super unique monster that has increased damage/health and drops extra Worldstone Shards when killed. Up to 3 dark wanderers may appear per map event. Some of the lines fall awkward, too. “I would destroy a kingdom at your wish, However, your wishes will fall on deaf ears when you’re whimpering my name.” It just feels too long to me.You needn't ingrain what you see into your mind, DARLING. I intend to be on my knees for you every day until you know me in no other form" Stay with me." Gideon starts to work faster, anger in every single one of his movements. "I forbid you from dying on me , LITTLE MOON"

The romance between them felt like it happened because someone wanted it to happen, not because it was supposed to or needed to. Some things I found sort of strange, for instance Dex and Gideon’s psychic relationship. It isn’t very fleshed out, and there are inconsistencies. For instance, she is able to “taste” his emotions, whereas he feels her emotions straight-up. Why the difference there? Also, they can read each other’s thoughts, but only when projecting and trying to have a conversation? He is able to literally possess her and appears to have much more influence over her than she does of him, but this isn’t looked into. The limits on the psychic bond aren’t really put into place. Map zones have a chance for special enemies or objects to appear somewhere randomly within them, each with different effects. An event message is displayed when getting close enough to those special enemies/objects. The chance is ~20% (unconfirmed) for rare maps, 2/3 of that for magic maps, and 1/3 of that for regular maps. Horazon's Memory also has Lightning Spires which have 100 lightning resistance and 1000 poison resistance
