I am not sure without seeing it myself, but I suspect you need to add some glue until you get the lumps to stick together. It isn't right - not stretchy enough, the detergent smell is too strong and it leaves a strange soapy, oily film on your hands. I haven't found ingredients for this starch but it says it can be used for making 'gunge' http://traditional-starch. Yes I looked at the post on fixing slime but I suppose the nearest it looks like is the one needing more starch. Ideally, you should make a fresh batch each time you iron because the homemade version can clog a spray bottle.

It did say boric acid on the label (which is odd) but there are so many variables and subtle changes that could have been made that have an impact on the final product. Quite tricky to use if not washing by hand - you need to stop the washing machine at the correct time and load the product. If all of the compartments in your machine are rinsed at the beginning of your rinse cycle, then the solution can be put across all three compartments.I made 2 batches - 1 with white pva glue from wilko's and the green almat gel and one with clear Pritt pva and the same gel.
