About this deal

Combined console sales of the Harry Potter line reached 3 million units in the United States by July 2006.

Going in the different classes to get new spells never gets boring and neither does exploring the open world. geo is present in the game, so it is likely that the Hospital Wing was supposed to be a room in the game.

The only difference between these versions is that Lockart gives out different numbers of points between 5 and 60, in the final version he only gives out 40. However, if you load one of the two dueling levels after the challenge using hacks, or use cheats to gain all the spells before one of them takes place, you are actually able to fight Malfoy and Goyle using the Incendio charm. It is also possible that this is a second Defend Against the Dark Arts (DADA) spell challenge which was scrapped as evidenced by this element of the DADA map. Developed by Warthog Games and released in December 2003 for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox, it is the second set of games to have this title following a release of the same name in 2001. It is not possible to enter Gringotts through Diagon Alley even though the bank itself is attached to the location.

However, according to some text placeholder and a menu, the Galleon and other money would have been collectable at the Leaky Cauldron rather than via Molly Weasley and the barrels. Next Generation ranked it as the 89th highest-selling game launched for the PlayStation 2, Xbox or GameCube between January 2000 and July 2006 in that country. Harry is first on flying the broomstick before Neville flies (unlike in the book and the film), when Madam Hooch says "Longbottom, your turn". Hag's dialogue, the unused NPC, seems to have been scattered in the 3 versions of this game, 4 lines in the GameCube version, 2 in the PS2 version especially this one with the only difference being the echo effect.

Norbert is omitted in this version, making it and the Game Boy Advance version the only games to do so. The GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions of the game allow the player to access a broom and enter free-flight mode.

In Sorcerer_s Stone, players act as Harry in a _sandbox__ or _free roam__ style of gameplay, in which they explore and collect items, solve puzzles, and engage in duels or combat. Some of them have their own specificity, such as some lacking ground collision and others like test_AW which has the music of the Girls' Bathroom and can even run the cutscene of night 3, however it will crash the game if the level is entered on night 5.

Several lines of dialogue not heard in the Playstation 2 version can still be found in the audio files, some of which indicating cut content. The latter lines here are generic-styled pickup text strings, while the PAUSED_CONTINUE string is what it is, for pausing the game.

The game's audio offers a more consistent experience, with a solid level of quality throughout the game. The text indicating where Harry is contains this text for Hagrid's hut, but the door has no interaction, unlike in the PS2 version. It's probably a placeholder from development, or a fallback in case the game does not recognize a potion. The Prefects have slightly different behavior, more reminiscent of the PlayStation 2 version, but their spells don't work. Text for an unused introductory cutscene narrating the events of the story up until the game starts at the Burrow.

The PlayStation 2 version also received a "Platinum" sales award from the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association (ELSPA), [43] indicating sales of at least 300,000 copies in the United Kingdom.
