About this deal

Epic editions are also listed below in their chronological placement, as they are frequently the only coverage of a specific run.

Anne Nocenti’s run on Daredevil was one of the first by a female writer on a major Marvel character, and also regarded by fans with nearly as much reverence as Miller’s preceding run.Daredevil: Redemption #1–6 (April–Aug. 2005; no cover dates; #1-2 both indicia-dated April 2005) by David Hine and Michael Gaydos Bendis first entered the comic world with the "Jinx" line of crime comics in 1995. This line has spawned the graphic novels Goldfish, Fire, Jinx, Torso (with Marc Andreyko), and Total Sell Out. Bendis is writing the film version of Jinx for Universal Pictures with Oscar-winner Charlize Theron attached to star and produce. Kirsten McDuffie is a nice addition to the supporting cast. There are a lot of great twists, some of which don't get resolved until the next volume. Collects Bizarre Adventures (1981) #28, Elektra: Assassin (1986) #1-8, Elektra Lives Again (1990) OGN, and What If? (1977) #35. 2016 Reprint. Captain America inspires, Spider-Man hopes, Deadpool memes, Daredevil suffers. Suffering has been the emotional core of the Daredevil book ever since Frank Miller rescued him from the ash heap. His catholic guilt tormented him. His body betrayed him. His loved ones were hurt because of him. His whole life was a disaster, at all times. That is until Mark Waid got a hold of him.

Next up is the Love and War graphic novel, which is about the kingpins struggle to cure his wife from her mental state. This was a nice addition as it features some amazing art and the story was pretty decent. It gives an extra little insight into the kingpins relationship with Vanessa. (3.5/5) Not collected in this format. These issues were not written by Bendis. See below for collection information. Collects (1964) #333-344. Also collects Elektra: Root of Evil #1-4, the present day material of which follows #337.

Bendis’s other projects include the Harvey, Eisner, and Eagle Award-nominated Powers (with Michael Avon Oeming) originally from Image Comics, now published by Marvel's new creator-owned imprint Icon Comics, and the Hollywood tell-all Fortune and Glory from Oni Press, both of which received an "A" from Entertainment Weekly. So I've finally read Soule's run, and I'm actually really happy with it. It doesn't seem to have the same reputation as Waid or Bendis or Brubaker (let's not even mention Miller, whose work in the 80s defines the book). Nocenti and others defined Daredevil in smaller ways, but I wouldn't say Soule is a lesser presence on the books.

Lee was initially concerned that the idea of his new hero might be offensive to blind people, but was overwhelmed by the positive response from charities working with the blind! See The Men Without Fear documentary for more detail. After #185: Dazzler #21, Contest of Champions #1-3, Hulk #277-299, Marvel Two-in-One #96, Marvel Team-Up #123, Marvel Fanfare #7 Either after #605 above or between Without Fear and Marvel Knights: Amazing Spider-Man (2018) #10, Punisher (2018) #2-3, Deadpool (2018) #9 War of the Realms: War Scrolls (2019) #1-3 Then going against Pyromania and Bexane, a Latverian guy and what he does to him was brutal and how the Avengers saved him was lovely to see and I love the growing friendship between Hank Pym and Matt! Then going mad storyline starts where Foggy and Kirsten doubt him and a new deadly enemy Coyote comes in and its epic the way its written and its scary and dangerous and like one of the best stories ever! After #168: Amazing Spider-Man #218. After #172: Marvel Team-Up #107, Marvel Two-in-One #78. After #173: Amazing Spider-Man #219, Marvel Team-Up Annual 4, ROM #23, Moon Knight #13. After #178: Power Man & Iron Fist #77. After #180: Marvel Graphic Novel 1. After #181: Defenders #103-104, Marvel Fanfare #1, Fantastic Four #242-243, Defenders #106-107. Collects: Collects The Amazing Spider-Man #’S 16, 396, Daredevil #270, Marvel Team-Up #’S 56, 73, The Spectacular Spider-Man #’S 26, 27, 28, 219.
