About this deal

The Parrot 2.0 is one of the best Wi-Fi controlled quadcopters in its class that is currently available on the market. The fact that you can control it via a tablet or a smartphone is one of its great perks. The flight experience you are going to experience with this drone is quite interesting and enjoyable. This drone is designed beautifully since it stays stable in the air for as much time as you want it to. This drone will let you focus on smaller areas by constantly hovering around them. As I stated this is one of the better drones for beginners, with advanced features that Parrot have patented like absolute control mode which lets beginners control their drone more easily. Design Once you've mastered the basics, go ahead and remove the safety guard. The drone is then much more maneuverable, and not so affected by a light breeze. That's that. I don't know what my next drone will be, but it will NOT come from Parrot. I recommend you make that decision as well.

In terms of connectivity you will not be left disappointed with the AR Drone 2.0 as it includes WiFi b, g and n as well as a high speed USB port. The AR.Drone 2.0 has a second hull that has foam guard rings to protect the drone’s rotors during indoor flight, where the risk of crashing is higher. Total diameter is 24 inches with the guard rings. (Image credit: Robert Roy Britt) Hubsan are one of the big players in the budget and mid-end drone market and have made waves over the last 12 to 18 months with some of their exceptional products. In fact, this drone is so cheap that it could have featured in our cheaper drones guide – but it holds its own amongst this competition. Standard features that you might expect include 3D flips and rolls, altitude hold, one touch take off/landing and a headless flying mode. If you fly out of range then you can expect to here the alarm beeping so you will know to fly a little closer to where you are.If you complain about your family not getting enough outdoor time, buying them one of these flying drones is sure to get the entire family outdoors for some fresh air. Best of all, you can run them all year long, as long as it’s not raining or snowing. The Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Edition makes a great gift, whether for birthday or Christmas.

The battery slips easily into the drone, and the hull snaps on (rather loosely, actually, but it works just fine). Wi-Fi pairing can take a couple tries, especially if your smartphone is paired with your home Wi-Fi; you might want to go into your smartphone settings and look for the drone's Wi-Fi. Range: The onboard Wi-Fi extends only about half the length of a football field, and conditions can cause the range to vary, the company says. When the drone is out of range, it will self-stabilize, and you simply move closer and regain control. But it is a frustratingly short range.Coming to the range at which this drone can fly is within 50m range. The design and build quality are very good which will be discussed in the later sections. The camera is very nicely designed with an extra FPV Feature that makes this drone even more worth the price. The Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Edition is run with the FreeFlight app and is really simple to use. To get started, you hit the “takeoff” button. There are two screens, which show each of the camera’s viewpoints. There’s also the controller screen, where you control how your Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Edition flies. There’s a handy recording button, so you can choose to record a video at any time during play. Why a Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Edition is Better Than an RC Helicopter To top it all off, the integrated 720p HD camera which can work for both Android and iOS allows you to capture all the fun and send the footage directly to the connected device. Additionally, via the AR FreeFlight app, you can upload your videos directly to YouTube. I strongly recommend that your first flight be outside, in an open area, on a windless day. You can do it inside, but be careful. See " Fragility" below.

This drone is capable of performing very good tasks along with average flight time for beginners. This drone can be easily taken control of along with carrying other vital functions to carry the drone into the air. This drone can easily be controlled with a tablet or a smartphone. This makes it easier for the users to handle the drone in the right way. Despite all these things, this drone even when it crashes sometimes do not get any major damage as it is designed to give you the best flight experience. This drone has the feature of automatically shutting down in case of accidents. There are certain other features available to make the flight experience better and comfortable. So, whatever pictures you take and the videos you record are stored into your internal or external storage available on your mobile or tablet. This tablet or the mobile is connected to your drone via the FPV Feature available in your drone. Remote Control

Another excellent feature of this AR.Drone 2.0 is its onboard 720p video camera, which faces forward, and a lower-res camera that faces downward. The app receives and stores video while the quadricopter is in flight. The video quality is surprisingly good, and it's a load of fun seeing the world from a fresh perspective. You can upload videos directly from the app to YouTube. [ 9 Totally Cool Uses for Drones]
