About this deal

SUPER BATTALION: Arcanite Cult – 1 Arcanite Cabal and 8 of any of the other battalions –Same as any Super Battalion. Wildly impractical, it honestly doesn’t matter what it does. Apart from this, the Magisters don’t have their own special ability. The one on Disc of Tzeentch can fly and move 10″, has 25 Wounds and Toughness 4. You are kind of made of paper and really need to ally/coalition in something with some staying power. For the most part, these rolls are not modified. If you use a die to get a 6 on a to hit roll, its a 6, modifiers be damned, except:

The Showdown The head to head krondspines even things out a bit, as both players will either be hoping to avoid the other or hoping to negate it by tying up their opponent’s. While the Tzeentch army is vast and exciting, especially with new coalition rules, these are a few units you’ll always want to consider. 1. Lord of Change

You benefit from all magic on the battlefield, meaning spells your opponent casts will add to your summoning pool. out completed miniatures faster. All in all I think the unit looks great, I'm happy with the colour choices, and I'mChoose a Tzeentch Wizard, if that Wizard can cast 2 spells in the same turn with an unmodified 9+ on the casting roll the wizard receives a permanent +1 to casting rolls. Only a few units can actually complete this, since it requires the wizard to cast at least 2 spells per turn and getting an unmodified 9+ twice is about 7% odds. A Lord of Change is uniquely equipped to handle this one since their Mastery of Magic ability lets them manipulate the rolls to give much better odds. Ninefold Dismantlement Instead of making 1 of the rolls from the list below for a friendly DISCIPLES OF TZEENTCH unit, you can spend 1 or more of your Destiny Dice. The roll you would have made is replaced with the roll on the Destiny Dice you spend. If you want to replace an xD6 roll ( core rules, 1.5.2), you must spend a number of Destiny Dice equal to the ‘x’. Any rolls that have been replaced count as unmodified rolls and cannot be re-rolled, changed or modified unless noted below. Destiny Dice can be spent in place of the following dice rolls: Warptongue Blade (Triple, both Gaunt Summoners): A chance to do some damage depending on the value of the ability and dice roll on an engaged enemy. Alter-Kin Coven – 1 unit of Tzaangors, 1 Unit of Kairic Acolytes and 1 unit of Tzaangor Skyfires –It basically works like Cult of Transient Form, which it synergizes with. Its a bit complicated but after a unit completes a charge, roll a die. On a 6, deal D3 mortal wounds and if any models are slain, you can add one tzaangor model to an existing unit. This requires way too much to set up and you dont really want any of these units charging except for Tzaangors and maybe Kairic Acolytes. C-

The last mention goes to the warband reaction: Twist of Fate. It can be used to change the value of a Double ability but depends on an enemy rolling high against you (can be used by a fighter that is going to die so that you don’t waste his actions). However, when we look at Doubles that would benefit from an increased value, we find only the Tzaangor’s Mutant Vicious Beak and the Leader’s Locus of Sorcery limiting notably it’s usefulness. The bases were painted Regal Blue, then a layer of Ardcoat applied. I then cut out plasticard into shapes found on theBolt of Tzeentch –Identical to the Mortal version, same evaluation applies. Note that despite being in 2 different schools the book explicitly states you cannot cast it twice in a turn. B

These guys are cool, but their limited ability set doesn't quite scratch my itch for mortal psykers with a variety of powers supported by units that utilize those powers. I might have to stat that concept up and share it on here if no one beats me to it. Good catch on the PSYKER keyword. Infusion Arcanum –Casting Value 5. Gives the caster +1 to hit and +1 to wound for the turn. Slap this on a good combat hero like Ogroid Thamataurge or Curseling before sending him in to battle. B+ However, I finally managed to get these Kairic Acolytes completed, and I've started work on another couple of units.Masters of Destiny -Before the game begins, you roll 9 dice and set them aside. You can use these to pre-determine certain dice rolls to ensure victory. I thought I would take a break from my Grey Knights and see how fast I could get the whole box set painted up. Ah this is a classic we haven’t seen in a while. Hallowheart allows a great combo of a Runelord granting +1 to wound for Irondrakes, who get extra shots when they don’t move. Since the bridge does not count as a move they can put themselves in optimum firing position before letting loose.
