About this deal

looking for a quick and easy (and dirty, jesus) entry into the hockey romance craze, Behind the Net isn’t a bad way to spend an afternoon. A third is to come, but for now I’ll share my thoughts on whether or not this series is worth skating into. on day one, you knock on his door only for it to be the hockey god you crushed on in high school who seemingly has no idea who you are and is not happy you're here.

Jamie is a professional hockey player who recently relocated back home from New York in a bid to be closer to his mom to support her. Authors, if you are a member of the Goodreads Author Program, you can edit information about your own books. the setting was fun, hockey and forest walks etc, loved the little community of his hockey team and her sister tooo. I have to warn people though that this book is heavy on the insta-love and is quite cliche at times! Over time they learn much more about each other until they each finally reveal that they remembered each other and had crushes.

Same soft, musical voice that I’d strain to hear back in high school while she was talking and laughing with the other band kids. The dual narration of the chapters is PERFECT for this book, and the voice actors (artists- sorry I’ve never received an audiobook before) were spot on. It was the cutest and sexiest love story … Jamie was the grumpy sweetheart of my dreams and Pippa gainning her comfidence back thanks to his care and love was all i asked for. plus i also want to give myself a break and not force reviews on books where i actually don’t have that much to say, because those reviews don't make me happy and most of it is just words and i'm just trying to fill out the review, but you’ll no longer be seeing me do that.

i really enjoyed how the story arc was done for jamie’s relationship with his mom - the mental health rep for both of them was very believable.

This is the correct listing: http Hello, there are currently 2 listings for my book, 1 under my name and 1 under another author with the same pen name. She gets ditched by him and ends up as a personal assistant to Jamie Streicher who moved to the Vancouver hockey team to support the mental heath of his mother. Said tension leads to lots of unspoken feelings, cute dogs, bad ex-boyfriends, and a scene involving a sex toy that will have you needing a cold shower. The years of missing each other makes this insta-attraction feel more like a second chance romance, which I loved.I adored Jamie, he was such an amazing support to Pippa to make sure she begins to believe in herself again. I loved hockey romances and I loved the chance to read a hockey romance by one of my favourite authors! this series will be so good and I’m prepared to fold like a piece of paper for stephanie archer men.

Pippa is an aspiring musician who travelled with her musician boyfriend who gaslit her and broke her self-confidence in her talent. I honestly think that is enough reason to convince you to read it, if you are into sports romance/want to get into this PLS PLS READ IT! Working as an assistant for an NHL player was supposed to be a breeze, but nothing about Jamie Streicher is easy.Alas, the publishing industry’s insistence on marketing smutty rom-com books with YA-looking artwork continues, and the first two books in Archer’s new ‘Vancouver Storm’ series are no different: Behind the Net, a grumpy-sunshine love story between a star hockey goalie and his assistant; and its sequel, The Fake Out, with a fake dating scenario between another player and the hockey team’s physical therapist. But it was too drawn out for me and I found it easier and easier to put down to the point at 80% I hadn’t touched it in three days! ngl it got kinda slow towards the end, but there's no third act break up so i guess that makes up for it.
