About this deal

En quelques instants j'ai senti une odeur nauséabonde (littéralement puisque j'ai dû me laver pour faire disparaître toute trace de ce parfum sous peine de nausée) qui se dégageait de mon cou. My husband commented on the smell but he thought that it was the flowers in the room but no it was this perfume that I had just applied This is a keeper for me as it is very romantic. Love in Paris is so floral feminine classy elegant powdery perfume, though I don't find any citrus notes in this, its long lasting beautiful fragrance, I love every note in this perfume! It lasts on me, I wore it all day at work and could still smell it the next day, even though I only sprayed a little.

The debut launch of the fragrance took place in the post-war period – in 1945, the perfume was not in demand, but persistent creators did not give up. But if we talk about the product, then here it is: on me, it's a peony fragrance, long-lasting, slightly oily; most likely it's just not suitable for winter, I'll wait for warmer weather and try again.Probably would appeal to a younger person although my 16 year old tried it and said it smelt chemical! Love in Paris smells exactly like a cheeky chic parisienne lady in her 20-30 age, washed with the finest parisienne creamy-powdery rose soap leaving trails of innocence and parisienne chic behind her, dressed in simple chic clothing and minimal makeup, just wearing her natural beauty and this perfume. It's suitable for office, not for romance, thus the name and story are quite a mystery to me but oh well, can you understand everything in this world? Love in Paris is very easy to wear romantic floral with notes of soft florals (rose and jasmine), apricot, vanilla and light woods but it's well blended that it's not easy to pick out single notes. But even the current version of the perfume is very beautiful and complimentary: flowers, fruits, and a tiny piece of praline together create an incredibly elegant composition.

Infact, the initial opening was so intense that it reminded me of Versace Vanitas (for all of 5 minutes). Then, recently, I caught myself craving floral fragrances, turning round when catching a whiff of white flowers on a girl in the street or the metro. They just peek through from time to time and remind me that this could have been at least a nice creamy everyday perfume if they toned down the sharp cleanliness, especially in the sillage. It opens with a fresh, floral-fruity, juicy wave (I feel the peony mixed with green banana and citrus notes), then comes the peony-rose duet (the citrus note still lingers around), and I guess this stage gives that classic impression. This was bought for me by my husband and therefore I felt I should use it even though I would not have chosen it myself. This was a clean, green lily-of-the-valley scent on me, acquiring shades of sweet fruity woodiness (I thought I got a bit of peach), as it dried and the greeness diminished. This is the younger Parisian sister of the British Tous Gold- both live in the 60s in Paris and London.
