About this deal

She explains she had a premonition she would never see him again and so got on the next plane and just caught the train, the lady in the puffy coat! In this book the action level is set to high with a killer code and assassins on the loose, desperate to find it. This time it is not one but 2 deadly assassins and they are caight in the crossfire on the train to the Arctic to see the northern lights. The danger is much more personal this time, as Nat's identification of the assassin puts him in the crosshairs. Then again, it’s not the threats made to Morti’s life that lead her to withdraw from travelling to see the Aurora Borealis.

Hal and Nat want a quiet trip, but as with previous books that will not be the case, only this time they have another helper. There are currently six books in the series but I am sure there will be more - these are brilliant stories for kids who love travel, action, a mystery to solve and an all-round brilliant adventure! There is just enough suspense to keep the reader hooked without being so scary as to keep the reader awake at night. This seems so much more fast paced than the previous books in the serious, perhaps because Hal is once again involved in a bit of detective work on board a train, but this time his Mum has had a premonition and it looks like it might come true. With this instalment you didn’t really get that opportunity, although there were some nice twists and turns as the plot unfolded. Whilst waiting for the Narvik train he draws an orchestral group, one of the players sees and introduces herself. I have heard a rumour that this is the last book, and I can see why that rumour is going round after reading the book, but I hope there will be more books!

The Arctic Railway Assassin can be read as a stand-alone novel, or enjoyed as part of the award-winning Adventures on Trains series written by M. I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally).

She spent her early career in the music industry running Setanta Records, an independent record label, and managing bands, most notably The Divine Comedy. I love the fact that at the end of the book the authors take the time to explain which elements of their story are truth and which are fiction.
