This primer prepares the skin for perfect, long-lasting makeup application and wear by turning the skin into a blank canvas. I wear it underneath my Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup, which is a medium-coverage foundation that I apply with a makeup sponge, and you can still see the sheen peep through the foundation. Right off the bat, I noticed that the First Light Priming Filter was a lot more runny than the Backlight Priming Filter. I have been enjoying the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation*, which is pretty full coverage. As you can tell, the descriptions of these products are very similar, down to the “filtering luminescent pearl” technology!

Infused with three unique filtering Luminescent Pearls, each one adds a different drop of diffused light. In certain places on my face I can tell that it gives me a bit of a glow without even having makeup on over it. A gorgeous primer that I wear everyday with or without foundation (mostly without) because it gives my slightly mature skin a lovely polished surface.It does smell nice but the problem is that it oxidizes on air exposure and the resulting stuff is not good for the skin. I had heard great things about this product from my sister and from various reviews online, and needed to see how it worked for myself. I’ve also decided I hate the way that matte foundations look on me – they make my face look so flat and dull, even with bronzer/blush/etc. It helps to blur any imperfections, and the Vitamin E helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It usually has to be neutralized with a base (such as sodium hydroxide) for the thickening to occur and it creates viscous, clear gels that also feel nice and non-tacky on the skin.

Compared to the pure form it's more stable, has longer shelf life, but it's also more poorly absorbed by the skin.It’s not strong, but it’s not a good scent either – luckily, it fades as soon as you apply it to the face. BECCA's priming filter gives a balanced surface for flawless foundation wear, leaving skin bright and beaming.
