Interesting to read AndySmellsGreat's review because as I said in my review below, I had a bottle of this a decade ago and it was fantastic, a truly unique (at least to my nose) marine aromatique, giving a real sense of the ocean.

I hadn’t even read any reviews on it, but seeing as I’m a huge ocean and beach lover I’m drawn to aquatic, marine, salty oceanic, citrusy, fresh and blue fragrances.Usually, I don't care for assigning particular seasons to a scent but Bvulgari Aqva is the epitome of 'summer at the seaside'.

It smells like a storm, fresh air, it induces a state of reflection, as if you were standing on a rock with your hands resting on your head and your eyes lost on the horizon. I was skeptical at 1st(wasn't really a fan of salty marine notes), but as the day progressed (mid to late August day) I realized, this is great/excels in hot weather. Good for a beginner looking for a fresh aquatic, as well as the more experienced nose looking for a go-to warm weather scent.I wear this fragrance for a long time and I can say that it is nice, fresh, aquatic and masculine fragrance BUT nothing mind blowing. The perfume bottle is very impressive, with a beautiful aqua blue color, and the sprayer works well. If you like salty marine scents, you can't go wrong with this one - there's a heavy dose of both marine and salty notes here; the sparkling, slightly sour grapefruit opening links so nicely with the calone, rounding its edges (below talkaboutscents rightly mentioned what calone in heavy concentration does to a formulation) and rendering it more like a watermelon/cucumber accord rather than the dreadful white egg note.

Its a very clean a perfomes really well, leabing towards generic parfumes as it does not have something very distinctive.I will continue to use this perfume till i can co tinue to afford one and hopefully the don't dis-continue it. Even those who wouldn't slap that label on it would agree that it's a skillfully made perfume, I would think. The mandarin and orange are the citrus note, the resulting note is slightly sweet and it combines equally both notes. The performance on the whole Bvlgari Aqua line has been fantastic and considering they are alll fresh aquatics the 8 hour plus performance in each fragrance is shocking. However, this one is simple and perfect as a summer aquatic fragrance that doesn't need to fill a room or pull tons of compliments, like the flankers can.
