If you look extremely close you can just make out tiny dots but unlike Mattel's grainy as shit UV printing, this is actually GOOD stuff where it looks extremely professional even with your head centimeters from the doll's face.

Moose Toys is the juggernaut driving these dolls, and the tagline is "take over the makeover," which is a pretty good tagline for what the owner has to do with these dolls. I’m not quite sure how they managed to get shoes in their hair (I mean, someone really must’ve been having a bad day), bit with messy hair and make up all over their faces, they have really got themselves into a pickle. The differences however are pretty subtle, with minor differences in the clothing or make up styles, so unlike some of the rarity levels that will encourage children to want to try and collect them all, this one doesn’t seem to have quite the same pull.

Once removed, it lifts away her original face to reveal her brand new look – with beautiful eye make up mastered to a tee! Hand relaxed, middle and ring fingers together, pinkie and pointer separate, all fingers slightly bent. There are some things that all of these doll have in common, too, and I'll take a moment to discuss those. Moose Toys seems to have transitioned the Fail Fix line into stuffed animals instead of tiny humans, though I’m not sure if that was any more successful.

Just a heads up, the art stolen from Miss Kika used as Kawaii's shirt design was from an OFFICIAL Sanrio shirt design Miss Kika had helped designed. I could do without the face mask/ messy hair gimmick - but I guess they need a gimmick to stand out. Now that that's out of the way, this doll bears a passing resemblance to both Violet Willow and my unreviewed Project MC 2 doll, McKeyla McAlister. The mystery element alone would have brought me back for more, but I also like that the dolls are all quite different. Perhaps if the brand name was something other than FailFix, there would have been less of an outcry?

I enjoy all of the face molds to some degree, too--especially the detail in the mouths, but Alyssa stands out because of her quirky smile. Next time I'm fooling around with my Bratz I'll try some of their clothes on Mika; I threw this post together and didn't even think of the Bratz.Erin did find the accessories such as the earrings and necklaces a bit tricky to get on, with the small hole in her ears making it quite tricky to clip the earrings into place. Parents, if you're planning on getting one of these for your kids, be prepared to step in for the box opening, because I doubt a child could do that part on their own.
