About this deal

As good old Brady would have it, Cal needs to sell the house that Brady left for him to be able to get his inheritance and help his brothers secure their portion of the Dreamland franchise that Brady created. I was sick with worry that we were going to find out that truth bomb when the sister showed up randomly asking for cash. I loved that Asher didn’t go with the “love heals all” path; Cal doesn’t instantly change his ways because Alana is back in his life. He says he decides to go to rehab for himself, but how it was written makes it seem that it's entirely for Alana and Cami. one of my friends who’s already read the book too said it needed to be roughly 75 pages shorter and it would have been perfect, and i wholeheartedly agreed with her.

Wasn't a fan of how she put Cal in a position where he had to speak to her sister when she turned up because she couldn't deal with it. I’ve never thought I would cry reading this book but I can’t help also another reason for this book to give 5 stars!Cal's addiction took over the whole book and made it feel as though the romance was a secondary plot. She also has major trust issues, at times logical but the rest of the time purely illogical and that is never rectified. There was so much that needed to be wrapped up in his life and when it all came together, it really unified the series and the brothers. She excused her character a lot with her Colombian roots, and this falls into the cliché of the Latin temper once again. Seeing how Cal learned to use books as a healthier way of coping with some of his mental health struggles was great to see and I think that other readers will connect with this as well.

No, it is not, if it was something as easy as a choice, there would be no addicts, that is the point of addiction, it is not something you can control and, in the vast majority of cases, it is stronger than you. This book had MANY spicy scenes, much more than in the firs The woman voice actor reads like she’s at gun point and on the verge of tears when it doesn’t make sense. after Cal got the help he needed and got sober, i started to like the book much better and was actually more invested in the romance, because i knew Cal could finally be the man for Cami and Lana he always wanted to be. I’m glad this wasn't the case and after a couple of chapters of the man having a meltdown about impending fatherhood, we finally moved on.
