About this deal

The up side is that it is not too heavy, I like its long body length and it relative low vibration in my arms.

we tend to go for an inexpensive brand with a good reputation but opt for the better blades and chains. The MAC Allister Reciprocating Saw 900W MERS900 is a powerful and versatile saw that is perfect for a variety of tasks, including cutting wood, metal, and plastic. If you can’t find the help needed on our DIY blog then why not head over to our forum where you can can help from both tradesmen and other DIY experts. But being a Sunday I was by myself and having a quick look around there were no obvious fixing points for the roof which is what I would usually remove first (start high and work yourself down). from Screwfix whilst still carrying a reliable brand, at least from experience and other reviews I have written anyway.

The item has been professionally refurbished/repaired and may show minor cosmetic marks and/or scratches through previous use. If You Are In The Republic Of Ireland Then We Recommend Using A Forwarding Service Such As AddressPal Who Have A UK Address We Can Post To.

I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t actually own a reciprocating saw for my gardening and landscaping business since I’ve never actually needed one, but when the time came that one was needed for my home I decided to opt for the Mac Allister MSRS850 850W electric reciprocating saw 220-240v. Use mine for a bit of diy, breaking down pallets for the log burner and cutting roots to get out tree stumps. I can use the saw upside down presumably if its easier to cut upwards, but the arch over the pathway has several awkward angles and I would like to be able to cut ON the join line to replace easier where just a few sections need renewing. We are a DIY hub designed to not only help you get the job done right, but also connect you with quality tradesmen when extra help is needed! To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Being a Sunday I had to think of the quietest way of taking the shed down as to not disturb my new neighbours and unscrewing the shed already being out of the question due to rounded off screw heads, being unsafe etc. Looking at the DeWatt saw that you showed, it looks great, but I think I have got used to the 'long thin' dimensions, rather than the gun shape.I want a cordless one so have looked at the DeWalt 18v range as I have the batteries and all the reviews seem positive albeit vibration gets a negative mark. Well I used the Mac Allister reciprocating saw for around 3 hours with no breaks so it’s fair to say that I put it through its paces, although with a 2 year trade rated guarantee from Screwfix I wouldn’t have expected any less.

It makes things even more difficult when you realise that there are hundreds of different options all to do the same job.Remember, it’s not always the electric saw itself but the blades you choose to cut with, although in the case the Mac Mac Allister did not disappoint! I’m a big believer in that it’s not necessarily the cutting tool you are using but more the blades you are using. The item will be supplied with accessories/parts required for the item to function but may be missing non-essential accessories.
