About this deal

Beautifully crafted in solid white and featuring and all-white minimalist box, this product is the ultimate gift for any coffee lover in 2023. It has handy cord storage and a magnetic spot on its back for whisk storage, and we also like how secure its lid locked onto the pitcher. I’m not sure i understood your second question, but if you mean how do you pour the frothed-milk into the espresso to create latte art: First you need to get the micro-foam right, once you get that, follow the tips in the “Pouring” section of this post. Milk frothers can also heat milk, which begins to denature the proteins in milk, contributing to frothing. Latte art is as good as I could get on my Bellman, but not as good as the fine lines from the steam wand on my 2L HX boiler at 1.

I put 150ml milk into the microwave and set for 45 seconds (this gives 140F) Prep coffee and put into Robot PF. Hold your frother with your right hand, put it inside the pitcher and deep in the milk ( just before touching the bottom of the pitcher). I attempted a few more with water/soap, then a couple with milk that didn't quite work out and then got the middle pour. So cappuccino foam is made with bigger bubbles, microfoam as the name suggests is made using “micro” bubbles. The latest update to the original Nanofoamer sees 25% more power through an upgraded more reliable motor, drive system and waterproof housing.

I tried it and, while it made a good latte (though indifferent to the ones I have made before), I couldn't do any art. What we liked: The Golde Superwhisk has a dual-coil head and two speeds which helped us dial in the amount of foam we wanted to create. The Subminimal NanoFoamer is a revolutionary hand-held milk foamer that will froth the best silky smooth bubble-free milk for all your drinks, as well as instantly create cappuccinos and lattes. The mesh used for cafetieres is of course intended to separate coffee grounds from the coffee liquid, it's not intended to froth milk. When used as directed the unit should be washed and put away however this heating and cooling effect over a period of time results in cracking of the plastic impeller.

The Degono is a UK invention (made in the UK, too) created by a small husband and wife team, in Ripon, North Yorkshire, and it's a cafetiere with a twist, the twist being that it has a two filter system which sandwiches the grounds for quick and easy clean-up. The main design element that all milk frothers share is a spinning whisk head that incorporates air into the milk to create foam, but only the pitcher-style, electric milk frothers are able to heat up the milk. When you start pouring, pour from a distance (~15cm high from the cup), this will make the frothed milk drop below the espresso, gets colored by the espresso and then floats on top it. Thom Huppertz explained earlier in this story, when proteins in milk denature, they “begin to unfold from the tight coils they’ve formed. It has a 25-ounce capacity which makes it great for crowds, but it performed excellent at its minimum volumes, too.

Yes, I agree that a cappuccino with a heart on top does not necessarily mean it tastes good ( although it tells you a lot about the taste). I used the fine foam for both dairy and almond milk, as Subminimal suggested it is easier to start with. Once you have successfully created microfoam, you can start pouring your frothed milk into your espresso shot (you can use an on-stove espresso maker as I mentioned in my previous post). Having recently tested a range of milk frothers, I was pleasantly surprised with how strong and sturdy the wand felt.
