About this deal

I LOVE it, everything about it, and I really think it’ll be a tool to help so many parents feel confident and supported through what can be a super tricky time: feeding kids in those early years! The idea started a while back and I’ve been prepping recipes, writing text, testing the tips and advice for around a year and it feels SO good to finally be able to share it with everyone. I know this wouldn’t be a problem for many moms, but for me and my baby starting solids was challenging enough as it was. I grew up in a generation where everyone was talking about dieting and celebrities were on the front cover if they had a bit of flesh, misplaced or whatever.

The other thing that has been really shocking to me has been the difference between my two children. One of my biggest concerns for mums and families, especially when having their first child, is that there is so little access to honest, reliable nutrition advice during pregnancy and on the topic of infant nutrition. This is one of my favourite recipes from the book – it’s so tasty and makes a great snack, lunch or side, as well as being fab topped with a dollop of cream cheese and some dill or a spoonful of hummus with some ground pistachios.Helping your whole family to eat well and follow a healthy diet can seem unachievable, especially when you consider that many of us are juggling work lives, food budgets, family schedules and routines, and different food preferences. All the information and resources she's shared has made the journey so much easier and gave us a real confidence boost.

She has supported thousands of parents through the weaning journey, toddler years and beyond using her evidence-based guidance. Melt the butter or spread in a large frying pan, add the spring onions and courgettes and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until soft and cooked down. I have to say, I actually stepped back from the finger foods for a week or so and gave myself a little bit of time to let him get familiar with the food and the spoon, because I was a bit nervous. My book starts by offering Nutrition for the whole family “Your Family’s Nutrition”, which breaks down a balanced diet and goes into a bit of detail about the nutrition that different ages and stages in a family will need. The book is also full of recipes which we are so looking forward to all trying as a family and sitting together to enjoy.

Starting at 12 months, and taking you right through to pre-school age, How to Feed Your Toddler brings together Charlotte’s trademark approach of evidence-based advice, nurturing support and practical problem-solving to give you the confidence to help your toddler develop a positive relationship with food…this is your essential guide to avoiding the fussy eating trap and bringing up adventurous little eaters who love a wide variety of food. As always, let me know if you have any questions and do send through any feedback by visiting SR Nutrition’s contact page. For example mac and greens, baby’s first ice cream, Greek Mezze Platter, hummus pinwheels, sweet and savoury pancakes and baby’s first burgers! When toddlers suddenly suddenly develop an aversion to all the foods they loved as a baby and will eat nothing but fish fingers, it can be an overwhelming experience for parents, but through this cookbook Charlotte helps to inform, empower, and help parents navigate this tricky time.

This book then picks up where the Pregnancy Milestones book leaves off and takes the reader through stage by stage from new-born right up until baby is 12 months of age. It also takes about 15 minutes to put together and for me, that's a winner for a really nutrient-dense, delicious, quite novelty recipe.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. It’s a fascinating area and I learnt SO much and I’ve put it all down in the pages of my new book for you to read in an easy and digestible way, just like I did with How to Wean Your Baby. And so we're actually having the opposite effect of what we want them to eat, so that level playing field is really key. Sometimes you can get a lot of cheaper options like big bags of lentils and big bags of rice and couscous from there as well. They're super easy, they take five minutes to put together and then they're like 40 minutes in the oven.

So this idea of eating up - you eat what you're given, you clear your plate - was still very paramount. Based on Charlotte’s influential veg-led approach, it tackles fussy eating before it begins and helps establish the healthy eating habits your baby needs to thrive. Charlotte Stirling-Reed is a registered nutritionist whose mission is to give parents confidence when it comes to feeding their children. Why they matter, how to make them a little easier and simpler, and practical tips to help everyone enjoy them more. Charlotte has made the weaning process so easy to follow and gives a very simple 'first 30 days' for introducing solids to baby.We hit COVID and he hit three at roughly the same time and he was locked in, had no nursery and dropped naps. In her new book, you'll find 70 delicious and balanced recipes, each with clear baby and toddler adaptations along with Charlotte's expert advice. Confidence is everything and this really underpins all the advice I give out in How to Wean Your Baby.
