Kendall is often unsparing and honest about issues that aren’t related to racism, pointing out that colourism among black communities predated contact with Europeans. I found the chapters on reproductive justice, sex work, and transmisogyny to be most interesting because they haven’t been covered as much in the other feminist texts I’ve read.
