About this deal

The Hisense U7H is a mid-range 4K 120Hz ULED TV for the UK market and is available in 55- and 65-inch screen sizes. The TV identifies the tiniest details and removes any noise using a dynamic algorithm tailored for fast moving objects.

We tested the 65-inch Hisense U7H, and the results are also valid for the 55-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch models. Credit subject to status, UK residents only, Crampton and Moore (Television) Limited acts as a broker and offers finance from a restricted range of finance providers. With its intuitive and customisable VIDAA U7 Smart TV OS for quicker access to your favourite entertainment from Disney +, Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube Freeview Play and more. Unfortunately, that includes most film and premium TV, whether played from a disc or streamed from a service such as Netflix, or through a media streamer. Sadly, one of them is also the eARC port, so if you're planning on connecting your receiver or soundbar over eARC, you can only connect one other HDMI 2. Google Assistant, Input, Menu, Power, and User buttons sit above the pad, along with a combination pinhole microphone and LED indicator.

The Hisense U7H comes with a slightly redesigned remote compared to the remote that came with 2021 Hisense TVs. Image processing is also good and, while the HDR performance is not very bright at under 600 nits peak, the fact that both major dynamic metadata formats are supported helps to get an HDR image that fits with the TV's capabilities. Advanced gaming features and more HDR formats than you can shake a stick at are promising, so read our review to see if it lives up to expectations. While the TCL has an inconsistent response time that is particularly annoying to gamers but is otherwise great for most content, the Hisense's response time is just consistently okay all the time. It respects the content creator's intent, as it has good tone mapping, and it tracks the PQ EOTF well, up to a smooth roll-off near the TV's peak brightness.HDR looks much better on the U7H due to its wide color gamut, much better color volume, higher HDR peak brightness, and better PQ EOTF tracking, so HDR content is more accurate, more vibrant and lifelike, and bright highlights pop. Picture quality tests include broadcast 1080i high-definition TV, Freeview, Freeview HD, viewing angle and the stability of motion in fast action scenes. In the starkly contrasting party scenes of The Great Gatsby, the cuts and contours of black suits come through clearly against the stark whites of balloons and shirts; they show strong detail without appearing washed out.

Whichever method you choose, you’re in charge of some thankfully brief set-up menus and a gratifyingly comprehensive ‘VIDAA U7’ smart TV interface.

Thanks to the ‘Hi-View’ quad-core processing engine, the screen is able to handle all high dynamic range standards - with Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive particularly welcome - and it's IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker Mode-certified too. The Hisense looks much better in a dark room thanks to its much higher contrast ratio, much better black uniformity, and effective local dimming feature. You also acknowledge that this forum may be hosted outside your country and you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your data in the country where this forum is hosted. It’s usable, responsive and pleasant looking but, as with many TV UIs, we aren't convinced that the content suggestions are all that helpful, particularly when they require subscriptions and rental fees to access them. And the Hisense 55U7QFTUK is a good-looking television, certainly as good as we’d expect any mid-range TV to look.
