One of the reasons why I have been invested in this series from the start and will carry on reading it is the two loveable crime fighting duo, Ryan and Frank.
I was left feeling that it was only two-thirds of a book, clearly meant to keep you hanging on for the next instalment. This book goes for the most part to the standard no major overlap with another book from the series, but if you did not read the previous two, I do strongly suggest to have a go before going for this one, or you will know one of the murders in this one. The main focus was on Melanie who is still struggling with events in the previous book and her decisions whilst may be right for her may have you wondering what next and how the team will be affected and will definitely have you waiting for the next instalment.
Everything is complicated by demonstrations about fracting in the area, as well as lack of authopsy for a long while in the book. Accusations abound in the small, close-knit community, and old religions spar against new while fear runs like wildfire through the streets.
