About this deal

While there he has been entrusted with a job that could go to the very heart of the Buckingham’s survival.

She is so happy and it has calmed her down, she has been so hyper and anxious the last few days, but your magic has worked wonders. After a successful debut the temptation might have been to maintain the status quo but instead Du Beke takes the risk of significant developments taking place in the lives of the primary cast and as a result the novel proves to be as engrossing as the first. I popped in a couple of weeks ago and picked-up a book for my grandma related to WW1 and Castle Donington.I doubt the novel would work as well as it does if read as a stand-alone, with much of the enjoyment coming from seeing how far the characters who came to life in the first novel fare in the second. With an author like Anton Du Beke, dancing was going to feature heavily in the story, along with music (particularly the “dance bands” that were so popular at the time, and the often black saxophonists that starred in them). An utterly enchanting read sprinkled with charm, romance and heart, Moonlight Over Mayfair delights from beginning to end and sweeps readers back in time and into a world of glamour and elegance which they will find themselves reluctant to leave at the end of the novel. I enjoyed it because I already knew the characters, but someone coming into this novel 'cold' would get very little idea of what the main players looked like or their backstories/personalities.

Nancy Nettleton is still deeply in love with Raymond, and attached to Vivienne Edgerton whose life choices have been questionable. Oh my, ever since I finished this book I keep hearing the music in my mind and sighing at an era that I simply adore.Trip the light fantastic with this gorgeous, exciting and evocative historical tale set in the 1930s written by Strictly Come Dancing superstar, Anton du Beke. Packed with characters who are brilliantly drawn, emotional drama that touches the heart and magic that will effortlessly transport readers to the 1930s, Moonlight Over Mayfair is an outstanding read from dance supremo, Anton du Beke. But I don't what to be a person who died, I would liked to of lives after the best titanic boat has sank.

Opening in April, 1937 with former male principal dancer, Raymond de Guise, temporarily absent from the ballroom, all is not well with hotel director, Maynard Charles. But with shy Frank overawed by what he finds and the demands of his role he is swiftly taken under the wing of savvy Lambeth lad and new concierge, Billy Brogan. The time period bursts to life on every page and I thoroughly enjoyed the different characters with their contrasting lives and problems. But as war seems ever more likely and mysteries run abound, someone is listening to their every word and who knows how it all will end. Santa MontefiorePrepare to be swept off your feet by the romantic and irresistible new novel from Sunday Times bestselling author and Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du BekeLondon, 1937.
