About this deal

Just match the colors on the painting with the ones in your hand, don’t forget to use the correct brush, and voila! Then, look at the current Chill card – if there is a bonus condition on that card, look to see if you score for that.

This gives you an immediate 2 points along with a bonus point each time that paint or brush type is used in your painting. The features to be painted are all named with the turns of phrase that Bob Ross is famous for – Happy Little Trees, Fluffy Clouds and Wondrous Water, for example. You don’t have to be a great artist to play Happy Little Accidents, but with only 30 seconds to draw, you do need to think quickly to make something recognizable. Apply Paint to their Palette — The player plays one card from their hand to either paint area on their Palette with the paint side as the top of the card. So, I didn’t know what to expect from the game when I first read about it, but as with many of my friends, I was enchanted by the mere idea of a game using Bob Ross as a main thematic element. The only unique thing this game really brings to the table would be the squirrel-based voting tokens, but you certainly could come up with another way to vote without using the tokens. Does this 2017 release from Big G Creative paint a beautiful portrait or does it feel like a toddler’s finger painting? Celebrate your creativity in this positive party game inspired by the wisdom of legendary painter Bob Ross. The plastic easel to hold the current painting that everyone is competing to finish is another lovely touch. Given that there’s actual artwork involved, I feel like Happy Little Accidents better encapsulates the Bob Ross theme than the first game did.

Note that you can only paint each feature once – you may never have more than one of your markers in any column on the scoreboard. Join the community and come discuss games like Codenames, Wingspan, Brass, and all your other favorite games! The components are decent (though the included pens aren’t the best, it’s easy to just use your own coloured pencils or pens), with the charming little tokens being pretty nice – and the box having a pleasingly fuzzy Bob Ross afro and beard that’s a really neat, striking touch. You even score bonus points if you have a technique card used in the feature or if you happen to paint faster than the master, Bob Ross, himself. I don’t know that I’d recommend everyone purchase it because of the ease with which you could recreate it on your own, but for those looking to add a little bit more theme to their gaming experience, this is a good pickup. At the beginning of the game, each player uses a black marker to draw a quick scribble on 3 slips of paper. Draw an Art Supplies Card — The player takes an Art Supplies card either from the top of the deck or from the row of face up cards. The player scores points equal to the number of paints used, bonus points if they're the first or second to paint this, and additional points if they've painted this feature before Bob (i. Additionally make sure your User-Agent is not empty and is something unique and descriptive and try again. The game can be explained in seconds, and even those who feel they don’t have a creative bone in their body can have a good time.

It’s competitive without ever feeling unfair or nasty in a way that competitive games can sometimes become. His estate do seem to be great at keeping his memory alive, however, with a steady stream of merchandise bearing his name and likeness – and what’s more, they seem to be going about this the right way, with products that I’ve no doubt the man himself would have loved. This is the painting that Bob is currently working on -–each painting has three different features on it (you know, fluffy clouds, happy little trees, almighty mountains, wondrous water or a charming cabin…).
