About this deal

More of a gothic/thriller, this one starts pretty weak with less story to tell and characters lacking your attention. Clementine then has a dream about Amos, asking him how he and Olivia made their relationship work and asks him if she's too broken for this. Clementine, Ricca, John, and Fen go out looking for them anyways, with Clementine and John going to check the lighthouse.

She trips and is almost devoured, but Emi sacrifices herself and pulls the walkers into the water with her. Clementine insists that the dead should be the number one priority and that there is no way to hold walkers and the result is always the same. Due to the perceived unfairness of Clementine's "fruit name", she labels him with a vast array of nicknames related to vegetables, so because of this his name has never been given. The bestselling LGBTQ+ graphic novel about life, love, and everything that happens in between: this is the fifth volume of the Heartstopper series. Clementine is very distrustful of the two and gets into an argument with the ponytail twin after she insults her. After years on the road facing threats living and dead, Clementine must build a life and become a leader while still watching over A. So I didn’t play the Walking Dead Telltale game and I have no idea who Clementine is or why anyone cares; I’m clearer now about who she is but remain baffled as to the caring part.

Like yeah, put the saddest fucking moment from the entire Walking Dead franchise in the middle of your mediocre book, that will do wonders for you. CLEMENTINE is an arresting exploration of trauma, community, and hope, devastatingly rendered in Tillie Walden’s signature style. Saa tells Clementine that while Taiwan is far, it's not impossible to get to and that it would be easier if they had a plane, but she's glad to see the industry die since they treated her like shit. If the book actively explored Clem feeling like Lee’s death was for nothing since she feels so unhappy with her current life even after everything everyone she’s met has done for her, and even after all the good she’s done for others too. But I’m also not one for feeling like a character needs to always stay the same or that any canon is too sacrosanct to play with (if the next Star Wars show randomly decides, say, Mon Mothma becomes Charal the Witch of Endor, I’d be like whatever, cool, bring it on) but I can see how that would be distressing to fans who are attached to such things, so I suppose enter at your own risk. The art is classic Walden, and while I wish this was in color like the last few of their works, the black and white really does fit the creepy tones. I was conflicted on whether I wanted to read this because whilst I'm a big fan of TellTales 'The Walking Dead' - I'm not the biggest fan of Tillie Walden. Other characters include Clementine's loving, understanding parents, her unnamed younger brother (labelled with a vast assortment of nicknames relating to vegetables by his elder sister), her sister Summer, her pet kitten Moisturizer, and Margaret, Clementine's strict, partially stuck-up, but kindhearted best friend. Most of the kids in the book are a bit naive because they have lived sheltered lives with Clementine being the character who has been through the most. As he learns to be human, he struggles to override his own programming and become a hero, from rising stars Tri Vuong and Irma Kniivila.
