About this deal

Has a whiskey note which isn’t in black afgano but doesn’t have the hashtag note which black Afgano does have. Não é um perfume apto para narizes mais sensíveis e habituados a perfumes de fácil utilização e de aroma muito agradável aos outros. The only thing I can say is, this is a more complex version of the original encre noir, not for everyone. At present, as I am writing this review, wearing the same about 3 hours ago, 4 sprays around neck and 1 on wrist, I can barely smell anything. The bottle is nothing but a masterpiece; a half-black, half-transparent flacon containing the rich cognac hued scent, finished off with a smooth, matte wooden cap.

The vetiver base is clearly perceptible and I am a fan of this grass because it is inherently very complex: tart, sweet, green, hot, earthy. I ve asked two women about comparing Versace Pour homme and this one, to find out which one they are thinking is better, both said Encre noire A L'extreme is more interesting and superior scent. I can see no occasion where this would get you complements and I certainly don’t like it myself which is the most important thing, anyway.

I get the smoky vetiver initially, something green but hard to identify as cypress, which after a while simply culminates in a cool, sweet, comfortable drydown. The first, because what use is a fragrance people hate you wearing, even when wearing it for yourself? In terms of performance, ENALE seems to last most of the day, though projection is no more than moderate, at least in the dosages that I apply.

At the same time, I got a decant of a few popular fragrances that, based on everything I've heard and read, I had no doubt I would love. Not great projection although with enough sprays in stays on the skin But, when I spray Hermes intense Vetiver on top of this this OMG … they work amazing together; sillage and projection are immense ….

On me EN moves from darkly bitter, which I love, to sweeter at drydown, whereas L’Extreme maintains its incensy sweetness throughout, despite the changing, developing notes.

A similar example would be L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme Intense—it is not a more intense version of its predecessor--the maison simply thought the scent is 'intense' on its individual merit. Update- after a couple weeks- it is growing on me- The dry down is where it shines and the hints of Orris/ Iris. Not for everyone, but in the right mood, under the right light, with the right people at the wrong time.

If a man wears this, he's simply either a ghost rider, van helsing, or other type of character similar. Cypress that smells like 80s white rain and instantly transports me back to that time and then a dusty vetiver comes out of the shadow smokey but not incense that isn't strong. Definitely get the pencil shaving vibe but there's just so much more going on that it's classy pencil shavings. It's almost as if a resin that should have been left on the scored bark of its tree to mature, darken and mellow prior to the harvest has been picked off prematurely and therefore remains green, raw, unruly. Smells a lot like olibanum (frankincense) that hasn't been burned, of course along with vetiver and incense that remain from the opening. In line with the masculine clarity of the fragrance, the French brand has chosen a minimalist design in elegant black. A trio composed of bergamot, cypress and elemi opens the bouquet as spicy and fresh before a masculine accord of vetiver asserts itself.
