If you’re regular running is road, you’re going to notice a different feel when you don some fell shoes. Fit wise, the heel locked in and has been comfortable on all runs, regardless of intensity, terrain or duration.

I have used the old white ones with the offset laces, which gave pretty much everyone who ever wore them HUGE blisters and cut up feet, then the 330's which I mangled into oblivion, and most recently the 333's which have been pretty good, though the uppers were the weak link in this shoe. Protect yourself from the harsher parts of the trail, and help keep your beloved shoes in one piece a while longer. It needs some faffing with the laces, to lash them down to a secure fit in this size, but at least it doesn’t feel like I will break my toes as soon as there’s any ground impact.

These firmly griped the rocks and provided a lot comfort to not only the foot but the toes and the ankles. However, when I *do* slip, I have the absolute confidence that I will regain my balance and footing with these shoes, and that it is a momentary lapse, and probably on a surface that pretty much nothing will provide adherence to.
