About this deal

Don’t get me wrong it is still a great camera but it does lack today’s technology and does not offer the value it once did. Share lets you take control of your camera remotely as well as instantly import your recorded photos and videos to your smartphone for sharing on social media. Additionally, the camera's battery can be conveniently charged via USB, even while you're on the move. I love the size and easy of "Taking it along", and the photos are excellent, but for some reason over the past few weeks I find I am longing for my D7100. Shooting Olympus for my professional work, it was only natural for me to look at what they had to offer.

Something I could not do with any Fuji or Sony I have shot with to date (for example, the high-five guy above would have been missed with the Fuji or Sony). Just like its predecessor, it’s a lovely little camera that’s a joy to use and delivers great pictures. markalroberts, perhaps off-topic here but which Eye-fi card do you have and how did you get it to seemlessly switch between direct-mode when away from home and home LAN when at home? This might disappoint users of those older models who’d like to upgrade to the 20MP sensor, but it’s no different to its clearest rivals such as the Nikon Z50, Panasonic Lumix G100 or Canon EOS R100. You can upload: image, audio, video, document, spreadsheet, interactive, text, archive, code, other. with continuous AF; however this comes with a risk of image distortion due to rolling shutter effects. Unsurprisingly it doesn’t hit the heights achieved by its more expensive siblings, the E-M5 III and E-M1 III, but I was able to get consistently sharp images at shutter speeds down to about 0.

Olympus used this 20MP Four Thirds sensor in its various forms for several years prior to the release of the E-M10 Mark IV, so it was and is pretty much a known quantity. I tried RAW and got fairly good results but do not have time for processing - this is for taking pictures of our kids to be uploaded to facebook and shared with family. Paired with the TruePic VIII processor, it provides a sensitivity range of ISO 200-6400 as standard, with extended settings equivalent to ISO 80-25,600 also on hand. His works are centered around the antipodes of the seemingly timeless and the irreversible fading moment. When the camera is confronted with a moving subject, the continuous AF works quite well, in practice.

I think "Shutter shock" is a misnomer since it isn't about a shutter shaking the camera around to cause a blurry picture. In the negative column, you can see that the E-M10 misses out on the E-M5's 5-axis stabilization - which means it's not quite as effective (particularly when shooting close-ups). From everything I've read on this, it rather seems to be the IBIS overcompensating for movement (regardless if said movement is from a camera's shutter, your shaky hands, or something completely different). As much as I love the Sony RX1 and A7, they are nowhere near as fast and responsive as the Olympus bodies (though the IQ is GORGEOUS from the full frame sensor – much richer, a different league really).Either way, as most of my film camera bodies I use for street are not splashproof as well, this does not feel like a major drawback to me.
