About this deal

Written and directed by Lee Cronin, 'Evil Dead Rise' is a wickedly bloody horror that is a worthy addition to Sam Raimi's iconic series.

Read more My favourite horror movie is the original Evil Dead and I was always sceptical about the more modern re-imaginings of this classic. True to the franchise's blood-spattered style, over 6,500 litres of fake blood was used during the making of the fifth instalment. The only big let down for me is the over use of one liners and pointless swearing by the deadites/demons.com is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Pay4Later Limited, trading as Deko, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 728646). However, after an earthquake splits the floor of the apartment garage open- revealing an ancient bank vault- all hell literally breaks loose. The Steelbook itself is gorgeous, I didn't used to like them when they had no title on the front but this really works in this particular instance. Absolutely FANTASTIC Service, bought and paid for on Friday morning and arrived on Saturday morning! But when a cursed text awakening a flesh-possessing demon is discovered in the building and the demon begins its monstrous work, Beth must brave it all to get her and the children out alive.

In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L. Though not as funny or as bizarre as the original three films, it is a good deal closer in tone to them than Fede Álvarez's comparatively bleak 2013 version, benefitting from bits of humour throughout. Scary, funny, crazy- not even Ted Raimi could have played this deadite as well, and that's saying something.A red-band and a green-band trailer for the movie are both released, teasing a continuation of the franchise absolutely soaked in blood. And as in any good 'Evil Dead' project, there's a ridiculous amount of blood on screen- the karo syrup and red food-colouring budget must have been in the millions. Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, Evil Dead Rise tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sullivan and Sutherland, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable. Cinematographer Dave Garbett is once again behind the camera, after previously lending his talents to the Evil Dead franchise.

Upon finding a strange book in the basement of the complex, the sisters unwittingly summon a horde of flesh-eating demons, thrusting them into a gore-soaked battle for survival. Though Cronin approaches gore with the hand of an auteur, he doesn't make his characters feel special or give us many compelling reasons to care for them. His use of f-stops and wide-angle lenses is immersive, while his dynamic camera movements add suspense and excitement.

The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable. For the week that ended on July 1st, Walt Disney Home Entertainment and 20th Century Studios' Avatar: The Way of Water remained on top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week, while Lionsgate Home Entertainment's John Wick: .

Obsessed with unraveling its secrets, she convinces her skeptical sister, Lily, to accompany her on a weekend getaway to an abandoned high-rise in the heart of a desolate city. Beth (Sullivan) pays a visit to her estranged sister Ellie (Sutherland), a single mother of three who is barely getting by in her cramped Los Angeles apartment.
