About this deal

the book being designed my MinaLima and the extra paper props like the marauders map and the yule ball program included made it a simply delightful read! This beautifully illustrated and interactive official tie-in to the wonderful Harry Potter films is a truly immersive reading experience for fans of all ages .

K. Rowling's celebrated novels to the silver screen, Harry Potter: Film Wizardry delivers an enchanting interactive experience, transporting readers to the wizarding world by sharing film-making secrets, unpublished photography and artwork, and exclusive stories from the stars.

This makes it a fresh and enjoyable read - there are so many items on every page, it is difficult to know which to read or look at first! This book, this awesome book is highly recommended to anybody who is even slightly interested in Harry Potter. But lo and behold, Heyman happened to be at a play one night, and sitting one row in back of him was 10-yr-old Daniel Radcliffe, every bit the boy-wizard they’d been looking for. But suffice to say the book will appeal to those fans who are looking for collectible items AND fans who want to learn more about filmmaking, Harry Potter style. Me ha encantado conocer algunos detalles y datos curiosos sobre las películas y los actores (aunque había leído la gran mayoría en twitter).

The graphic artists who designed the films and their contents also designed this book, and they did a fabulous job, with both endeavors. An absolute must-have for all Potter fans, this Brian Sibley book is all about the magic of Harry Potter films. This is a must-have book for any serious Harry Potter enthusiast, and even someone with a casual interest in the J K Rowling books or the Potter movies would find this lots of fun and highly informative. As a broadcaster, he was a contributor to and then regular presenter of the former BBC Radio 4 arts programme Kaleidoscope and the BBC World Service arts magazine, Meridian. I have also made radio programmes on a wide variety of topics from the history of magic to the crimes of Jack the Ripper! One of best features of the book, however, was that it focuses on so many of the minor details fans could never have been expected to notice, and the production teams that worked endlessly to make them. It is loaded with never-before-seen concept art and photos from Dumbledore's embroidered robes to the sets of Diagon Alley. Also included are specific scenes and how the production team put the magic together, examples being the three tasks of the Triwizard Tournament, the Little Hangleton graveyard, and even how they put together the challenges of Rubeus Hagrid the Part-giant, and the Black family tree tapestry, the Boggart, Hogsmeade, and much more. Full of removable, facsimile reproductions of props and paper ephemera from the movies, concept art and unseen visuals, this collectible volume offers a privileged look at the Harry Potter films and the making of true movie magic. I was even more impressed when I realized the attention they paid to detail, and that makes sense given the high quality of the films.

Also included is the production and design team's different challenges and perspectives throughout the eight films. Turns out, it’s entirely true: they had been auditioning young boys to play Harry for nine long months, and with just three months before filming was scheduled to begin, they had yet to find their main character! But (you may not believe this part), Daniel’s parents hadn’t wanted him to audition, and turned down the offer. Overall the pullouts and book are awesome (when present) these pullouts and maps make the book but Ian the listings it neglects to outline what exactly is missing which is unacceptable. Now, keep in mind that Heyman went after the film rights before the first book was even published, and the publisher itself (Bloomsbury in London), by no means predicted the book to be a bestseller!Author Brian Sibley compiled the scrapbook with a combination of production notes, countless cast and crew interviews, set visits, knowledge of the book and film series, and production photos and movie stills to make the quintessential anthology of the Harry Potter film series. There are look-backs by the principal actors that reveal surprising details that you will not find elsewhere. You find pictures of a ridiculously young-looking Rupert Grint, who is actually 2 years older than Emma Watson and a spread showing how Harry changed between 2001 and 2010 from a young boy to a troubled adult who, behind the scenes, was struggling with a drink problem.

This article covers a subject that is part of the real world, and thus should not be taken as a part of the Harry Potter universe. Along with all the new photos were several other cool things, including prop replicas such as Harry’s Letter, a Marauders Map, a Quidditch World Cup Programme, Advanced Potion Making, and a Yule Ball menu among other things. This book is lavishly illustrated and has dozens of fold-outs and stick-ins, each more surprising than the last. But in a later round, the wonderful Steve Kloves, who has written all but one of the scripts, signed on. It is best to leave these as a surprise as there is a lot of excitement in discovering them for the first time!

The book covers all 8 movies, so I got to see a (very) few scenes from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 before the movie comes out. There are pretty little things stuck inside and very interesting facts to learn about the films/books there's a Hogwarts acceptance letter in there, a Yule ball invitation, and the Marauders map! The foreword was penned by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, and the introduction was written by producer David Heyman.
