When I first bought this I had a bit of a hard time wearing this because the citruses (yuzu) were a bit sharp to me. This has been I guess my signature scent over the last 8-9 years, or at least what I have worn the most in `that span of time. I bathed myself in this stuff, at first just one spritz, then after that single sniff, this was going all over my body. This is his signature scent and so it was probably the first fragrance I have ever smelled and every time I smell it, It just gives me comfort and homey vibes thanks to that. The opening remains the harshest, screechiest, "fingernails on the chalkboard" opening I've ever experienced, exactly how I remembered it, as the smell of long expired Realemon. Other than that, it is a great, fresh, go-to scent that is mass appealing to a spectrum of generations - along the lines of Acqua di Gio and Coolwater. A couple years back when I really dove into the fragrance collecting hobby, and not intending to do so, I bought a 200ml with a 2019 batch code.

I've worn this new bottle 4 times now and the longevity has definitely been tinkered with, 4-to 5 sprays have only lasted 5-to 6 hours. It's a complex scent that makes my brain occupied of what notes it detects every time a little breeze blows into my nose. I love how the sharp citruses and iconic yuzu work together in the top to give this perfume a very specific opening. If you like, what appears to be a classic fragrance that hits you all over with citrus and flowery notes, which I do, then you'll love this juice.

I pulled it out again for a full wear and always amaze myself that it lasts all day, projects well and smells so good without any offensive tones. I only have a very small bottle, so I imagine I'll be using it before and after working out or going on walks/hikes, and once I've finished it I won't be repurchasing. Pretty meh longevity and pretty meh sillage, gotta douse myself in it to feel like other people can smell it. Performance is also strong, right now I have more than 4 hours since I sprayed it (3 under shirt, 2 on neck) and it still smell strong.I really have tried to like this, to the point of getting a second bottle assuming my first might be spoiled, but no. Sure, I picked it up a couple of times and gave it a whiff here and there but I never gave it the attention it truly deserved. I just bought a gift set of a 125 ml bottle and hair gel shampoo, L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Issey Miyake for men, for everyday use, the yuzu, and lemon citrus is just very comforting and easily likable and pretty nice to enjoy, and the aromatic scent trail is clean like a breeze of air from the mountain, with a fresh spicy and a woody sensation feeling. The aromas of the heart note gradually unfold and determine the character of the respective fragrance. a couple of years later my brother started wearing this scent, and it became his signature scent just like how it was my grandfather's.
