About this deal
In terms of noise reduction, whilst the Quiet range do indeed mellow most background sound to a point of inconsequential volume, it must be said that we could still hear when using them. While the children were wearing the earplugs, we tested to see whether the kids could hear our voice, the doorbell, car horns and other sounds.
The Loop Experience generate a bit too much low-range howling wind noise on breezy days for my liking, but the Loop Quiet really are a good choice if, like me, you don’t mind the low growl of your engine being audible. Now, the earplugs are available in a child-friendly size, designed for little ones aged between 6 and 12, to help cut out distractions. The Experience version I’ve tested claims to deliver a good range of bass, mid and high frequencies.Living next to a big street in the middle of the city they help me cancel out the noice from cars and trams while still letting me hear the music I'm listening to.
Not only were we pleasantly surprised by the level of volume reduction, but the super soft, flexible design of the earplugs makes them incredibly comfortable to wear on a day-to-day basis. We started with the XS size, given that the earplugs are designed for children of up to 12 years old and our testers are at the lower end of the recommended age range. Looking at the figures quoted across the frequency ranges, an SNR of 17 covers the 125Hz range, it’s 15. However, they also reported a slight echo effect, which made them feel like they were talking in a bubble.
They are also available in the Equinox collection, including celestial equinox, flamingo flux and midnight sapphire. Thankfully, the Loops didn't turn my Alexa's rendition of AC/DCs ‘Back In Black’ into a pub band playing in a cellar. Designed for music and loud events, the Experience Plus earplugs are the most jewellery-like among the Loop collection thanks to their metallic loops — choose between gold, silver and rose gold to match the rest of your bling, or the basic Experience earplugs (without the Loop Mute inserts) are available in shiny colours too.Dedicated testing facility: We've tested over 180 products globally and now operate our own testing facility equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to analyse product performance. Unlike some earbuds or earplugs that offer music playback through Bluetooth, Loop Earplugs are dedicated to acoustic noise reduction and are not equipped with the technology to play music or connect to devices via Bluetooth. Loop Experience Earplugs reduce noise by up to 20 dB, allowing you to enjoy audio without damaging your ears.
Since I haven’t yet used them in a loud setting I give a 4 star rating based on appearance and comfort.
The brand encourage users to try every size of ear tip to find the perfect fit — all come with XS, S, M and L, and the Experience and Engage ranges have memory foam as well as silicone options. Individuals with ADHD often struggle with regulating their attention, managing impulsive actions, and moderating activity levels appropriate to their age or situation. The advanced filter is designed to limit the occlusion effect with a round channel capped with a mesh layer. I find my concentration easily shattered by background noise - the dog barking at the postman, my son shouting all the way to America when playing online video games. In the case of these earplugs though, they have a higher SNR and better attenuation across the frequency range, offering increased hearing protection that’s more suited to riding bikes, rather than the Loop Experience that, as the name suggests, are more designed for experiencing music concerts and the like.
