The album debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200 album chart, selling just under 34,000 copies in its first week. Disc Two pays tribute to the 80s dancefloor classics that fused genres to create breath-taking originality and new styles – often reflecting changes in new technology and capturing the fashion of the era.

Celebrated hits from Tina Turner and Blondie precede legendary Pop from Sinitta, Hazell Dean, Tight Fit and Baltimora, before Stars On 45’s salute to ABBA and bringing the disc to a close with UB40’s enduring ‘Red Red Wine’. One of her signature tracks ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)’ serves as a stellar example of how Dance music had evolved through the decade and remained as vital and uplifting as ever.
