About this deal

Maybe it was the longer focal length that created a much cleaner composition with lesser background fitted into the frame. If it was not for these links, there would be no way to fund this site (and the cost these days to keep it going is pretty damn high), so I thank you in advance if you visit these links.

As can be seen in the above series of photos, this 75mm lens is sharpest wide open or stopped down to f/2.As an owner of both the D700 and the OM-D, I can assure you that the former does NOT “destroy” the OM-D in high ISO performance. The optical formula comprises 10 elements in 9 groups, including 3 extra-low-dispersion and 2 high-refractive-index elements. Credit is provided by Novuna Personal Finance, a trading style of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. I was considering the Sony NEX-7 only with the Zeiss 25, but it appears that this Oly kit would hold its own against the Sony in terms of sharpness and detail, despite the smaller sensor and 50% lower resolution.

that i sometimes bring, but the 75mm have in many cases nullified my need for those 2 lenses ( I still love the Voigtlánder's bokeh rendering though, and it gives you something extra to focus manually I think), except for macro shots which the 45mm is being used. I would like to ask for your samples from the OM-D and 5DIII that tell me I am 🙂 I will state again with 100% reality…the only difference is depth of field and slight high ISO performance when compared to the better APS-C and FF cameras. lens, and more recently I have been shooting very frequently with a 35mm equivalent lens on the Fuji X100. Jack I nearly bought the X1 Pro but ended up skipping it and straight to the x100 for that very reason. In low light it will hunt a little but in good light it is pretty solid and the best thing about it is that it is silent. I had a play with a friends kit,he has the 12,45 and the 75 and I must say its a nice combination, good image quality, good auto focus and as a walk around fun kit I am definately considering it. This bright telephoto prime lens balances perfectly on the Olympus OMD-EM1 II and Olympus OMD-EM1X pro bodies as well as Panasonic micro four thirds bodies such as the Panasonic G9 and Panasonic GH-5.

MFT and APS are much closer in size than either are to full frame, but this statement continues the myth that APS and FF are almost the same and that poor MFT is way behind. It would have been nice to have sync IS with this lens, but given Olympus’ superb IBIS, I’ve been able to hand hold this lens to as low as 1/15s consistently. One other thing you can do that could give you the best of both worlds is to get the Olympus 75mm and pair that with the absolutely tiny Panasonic 35-100mm f/4-f/5. I love this lens and its wonderful rendering of colours and clearness of details, which make fotos nearly 3-dimensional. The OM-D and NEX-7 are great discreet cameras, but it seems like both Sony and Oly have this strange passion for lens designs that cry for attention.

Bokeh that looks pleasing and a character that stands toe to toe with legends such as the Nikon 85 1. The lens looks amazing and I’d love to get it, but can’t help feeling it may not be the best value for money because of its 75mm focal length vs.

I shoot mostly “full-frame” film, and I have learned from experience that shooting portraits wide open can easily ruin your shots because of the extreme shallow depth of field. My hunt wasn’t as exhaustive as my current lens hunts, but that’s mostly because of the widespread love for the Olympus 75mm f/1. If on an APS-sized sensor, the 70-200mm will magnify more, and behave (roughly) like a 112-320mm lens would on a 5D.You can upload: image, audio, video, document, spreadsheet, interactive, text, archive, code, other. The lens mount is made of metal, meaning the mount between camera and lens is as durable as it gets.
