Tuscany brings me back to my early days in NYC when Italian families gathered together every Sunday, men smoked short ugly cigars, sipped anisette and the day passed leisurely. I couldn’t agree more-my vintage bottle was purchased in winter of 1990 in Las Vegas at the mall by my then girlfriend. My skin seems to round some of the notes toward the feminine and I could certainly see myself wearing it with a very light touch and perhaps layered with some simple floral. I was expecting to get more citrus in the top and thru the mid, but this bottle starts with the leather, cinnamon and anise and largely stays there with a hint of lavender showing up now and then. The EdT was re-issued not too long ago along with all of the other previously discontinued Aramis scents in a Gentleman's Collection.
What I remember the most about its previous formula was that it had an incredibly deep richness to the scent.
I also have the current version of Azzaro Pour Homme, which isn't as much like Tuscany as I'd hoped. Perhaps because I am now just into my 40s, these types of fragrances have a whole new sense of relevance although it took me a few years to pluck up the courage to try them and some might gasp at the knowledge that I bought Tuscany and Havana blindly. Perhaps it is the 1980's style musk with a combination with the anise and caraway that is such a turn off to me.He even admits it to my mom that this cologne is everything to him and he would find a knock-off one when I'm gone because he swears he wouldn't spend his money on unnecessary materials. If you have any questions, or are concerned about potential allergens or other ingredients, message the seller. Since then, you've accompanied me in the office and even a casual outdoor setting where you stood your ground, releasing small bursts of your pleasant aroma for those closest to me to ponder it. this is not the most modern scent nowadays, in 2021 fits better for the gentlemen but it's still a game-changer and in my opinon one of the best edt of the 80's.
On occasion, the designer may change the packaging but not the formulation of a product or fragrance. It's a very bright, clear and (uplifting juice of citruses especially lemon) completely blended with aromatics such as Taragon and spices like anise and cinnamon. I have to say I really enjoy this fragrance because it doesn't open harshly (except maybe the citrus) and it drys down to be more delicate and less butch than some other Aramis offerings, especially the original. I have to apply quite heavily to get any coverage which would be a big no-no with the likes of New West or Havana. I kinda laughed because I too had the bottle at my home, but the bottle looked slightly more different and the juice was just a tad darker. One of those safe blends for those who adores citrus, woody, with touches of herbals (if you are common with Tuscan lemon of course). In addition we also support a number of local charities in North West London to try and help create a more equitable society. I myself had not still been aware of its smell, because my nose was so used to it, but then realized that it still smelled just as good as when first put on - actually even better. regarding the smell, it has a bright citrus opening, then there's a great mix of lavender, terragon, very soft leather, oakmoss, patchuli and basil. This is my first Aramis, before this I think this brand suited for more matured people but since I will turn 27 next month, I give it a chance to try this.
