Bosch was created in 1886 in Stuttgart, Germany by Robert Bosch who formed the business to specialise in the manufacture of electronic components. There is no doubt that if a gardening tool can be improved upon then Bosch will already be working on it.
As I have touched upon a few times now, Bosch has built this machine with sturdy, long-lasting elements, from the double-threaded screws to the double-spring steel tines. Removing this moss and thatch gives the grass chance to grow and lets nutrients and oxygen reach the roots. That’s not to say that the Bosch isn’t a good worker, but it would probably be best for maintaining a lawn that has already been scarified in the past, rather than scarifying a lawn for the first time. Bosch have always had a willingness to improve on their already established designs, right from day one. However, just as I thought, the leaves kept clogging up the tines – there are much faster ways to clear fallen leaves than this machine. The 4-position operating heights can be adjusted easily for both light and heavier applications, including leaf collection.This will help to keep a nice tidy lawn whilst encouraging growth as old dead material is removed which would otherwise stifle this growth. It did take me a few seconds to realise that the collection box was in two parts, with one stacked under the other – I initially thought that there was a piece missing.
