The unit was a set of clamps and a separate display which I connected up to a PC program for logging purposes. The idea is we must calibrate the sensor by telling it how much current was really going through the cable when it was reporting a specific value.

The last one from above is probably causing some “noise” that is slightly off phase from the measured current, so sometimes reads higher and sometimes reads lower depending on the point of the phase where the measurement is taken.
