About this deal

I've sewn tons of other lighter weight and stretchy fabrics without problem as well, well without problems induced by not being familiar with the fabrics being used. It came with many attachments I am happy with my purchase I feel I made a great choice and bought a great machine. I guess what I take exception to is the above comment that the " Juki TI-2000qi is the best sewing machine". A handy sewing guide in the top panel right at eye level to indicate the stitch, the suggested width, length, proper foot and thread tension which is very nice.

I feel sewing machine’s are increasing in features but decreasing in build quality, so the used one will be a bargain. The 525S features 24 stitches plus a fully automatic one-step buttonhole and a built in needle threader. Other than it struggling with lots of heavy layers, it has a few other little issues, but nothing game stopping. I was saving for a Toyota Oekaki, but also like the Janome enormously because it's strong and simple. This made a great addition to my collection which include an Adler walking foot industrial, Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ-1, Singer HD4411.I also have the Sailrite LSZ-1 portable walking foot, and I use pretty much exclusively v92 thread with it. Second update: that seems to be due to a newer model issue, so getting and older version secondhand seems like it would work. This is often caused by the bulk created with the seam allowance, especially around collars and sleeves. To make this sewing machine any lighter, I suspect more parts would need to be fabricated out of plastic, and that's not usually a good thing. I talked with the seller hoping to get the round peg but he sent me the entire stand with both the square and round thread guide.

My main concern with going for antique options is the safety of the electrics and other materials used. I like to keep my machine very clean and find that having to unscrew the face plate inconvenient, most machines the face plate simply slides off. I tried to keep my suggestions to models available to all dealers, whereas SMD are only available from one!The Even Feed Foot, sometimes referred to as the walking foot, is designed with a set of feed dogs that allow the fabric to feed without shirting and eliminate the problem of the underlayer of fabric coming up short. It offers both stitch width and length adjustment and a drop feed facility for freehand embroidery and free motion quilting. Standard straight stich and zig-zag covers about 90% of my work and three or so others for the rest. What I do use is the straight stitch, the zig zag stitch, and on the occasion I’m using a large enough needle for it to work, the auto threader. Having started sewing on a very simple Singer machine, I was over the moon when I upgraded to my Pfaff Ambition 630 3.

Presumably if you have checked the warranty online and paid with a credit card theres not too much that can go wrong.

Normally I like to let the machine feed the fabric but with heavy fabric with lots of fabric in layers and hanging off the front of the machine you will want to give it a little assist so this doesn't happen.

Heavy duty aluminum frame and 18 stitches, including a one-step buttonhole give you the tools you need to handle any kind of sewing project. I've been using this machine for a few weeks now and although this is a workhorse it does have a few issues. It is only a cover which sits on the top of the machine and allows you to access the handle of the machine to move it around. The reverse stitch seems to balk when pressed, sometimes it catches right away other times it lags and you have to stop sewing altogether to get reverse to operate. Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. Much as I like the many convenient features they have, I've read (today, in fact) that the motors tend not to be as strong as those in mechanical machines. For me, I sew primarily linen and cotton garments, linen and cotton toys, sometimes little house decor things and I do a little quilting BUT most important to mention, I sew almost daily. Main Features: 7-piece feed dog which can be dropped for free motion quilting Heavy-duty Aluminum Chassis Maximum Stitch Width: 6.
