There are some intersting charts illustrating things like the straight jobs blues singers have had or the way they died. This makes her dream of going off to sing end as she deals with her controlling husband and her pregnancy. If the character of Liz appeals to you at all, this is an excellent book to read; it is engaging from start to end.
