Artwork is amazing and standing this movie on the shelf right next to "Batman V Superman" and "Zack Snyder Justice League" enhanced the whole trilogy watching experience.

The Blu-ray contains the film in 1080p, as well as the same extras as before, including 3 featurettes ( Strong Characters, Legendary Roles, All-Out Action, and Krypton Decoded), the great Superman 75th Anniversary Animated Short, and the cross-promotional New Zealand: Home of Middle-Earth piece for The Hobbit. So I got Man Of Steel to give it a rewatch - I was really pleasantly surprised by how good this was. You gotta love hearing about two-thirds of the crew throwing up in the crab fishing scenes filmed on a real boat with authentic crashing waves. In addition to the 4K UHD Blu-ray and the film on a 1080p Blu-ray there’s also “supposed” to be a wealth of extras plus a code redeemable for the Digital HD version of Man of Steel on the UltraViolet platform.

So how did things look and sound on the new 4K UHD Blu-ray format for this 2013 superhero action flick? The film also ends a bit too abruptly after all the carnage, with little service given to the aftermath (something that its quasi-sequel, Batman v Superman, addresses in kind – see our review here). Dialogue still gains precedence over even the loudest deluge, coming across clearly and coherently throughout, largely from the fronts and centre channels, and the score is at hand from start to finish to sweep you up, enhance the emotional weight, or simply bring the thunder. O, and I've been offloading BDs to people around me just or the fact that Atmos tracks have been and are being added to movies with sound mixes that I love.
