About this deal

Samantha Rue is an international and USA Today bestselling romance fiction author of young adult and adult fiction novels.

On an ordinary day, you can usually find Samantha Rue reading, writing, and trying to get the glitter out of her fingernails. the pacing of their relationship, the darker tones of the book, the chemistry between the characters, and the vulnerability they both shared with each other? perfection. The hate between Hamilton and Gwen is REAL. The hate-to-love is strong in this book and I'm here for it! This is a book where you will hate Hamilton. He'll frustrate you and make you want to throw the book away, but that's the beauty of him. It will be like you're the one in a hate-to-love slow-burn relationship with Hamilton. Your love of him will keep to itself until suddenly it hits you in the face --as Gwen does to Hamilton--and then you have nothing to but accept that Hamilton is glorious and that that charade he puts up is nothing but a front. Killian is a 220-pound man with pure spite and brutal physicality who watches her while she sleeps. Lords of Pain” by Samantha Rue introduces Story who has never asserted that she is a nice girl but she has also never asked for what is happening.

Having said all of that, I must admit two things: one, chapter 21 brought me to actual tears (what? This wizened, hardened heart??). A lovely portrait of falling in love without being interrupted by the banal convention that demands virginity from its heroines. HOORAY. Co-captains! I’m all for it. I can’t say that I didn’t skip whole chapters —especially near the end—because I just don’t need to go through the emotional torture—and—balm these stories ultimately offer. But again, and if the author is reading this review I would love an answer !!! The fact he had a gf and was with Gwen didn’t seem to bother or annoy Gwen at all. As in, it’s not even in her POV, it’s as if the gf doesn’t exist. But then... does she continue sleeping with him thinking he’s not witb the gf anymore ? How did she not ask if he was with them both? ANYONE would. And again, it’s cause Hamilton wasn’t with the gf that it wasn’t a big deal but Gwen did not know that. Specially cause by then they weren’t only having sex but we’re SO MUCH MORE.

Typically, she can be found reading, plotting her escape from the zombie apocalypse, writing, and just trying to get the glitter out from underneath her nails.

Devil May Care can be a standalone read but is part one of the now COMPLETE four book series following the characters of Preston Prep. Devil May Care gripping, angsty, m/f enemies to lovers, bully romance, by Best Selling Author, Angel Lawson and Samantha Rue. The author now has more than a dozen novels to her name and has shown no signs of slowing down any time soon. It should be easy for these two to avoid one another. They have nothing in common, other than a single tragic night. But sometimes, the person you know the best is the one who’s hurt you most. When an opportunity arises at Preston to revive the Devils, Vandy and Reyn make a deal that will seal their fate once and for all. The OW drama. Hero was "dating" a girl (who was more likely chasing the Hero for any kind of attention he was willing to give) up until 75% of the book. Reader knows that he wasn't sleeping with the GF, but the heroine doesn't know that for sure... Also, I didn't understand why the brother Em wasn't made accountable for his involvement in the accident. Sure, he was full of remorse. Without Ems involvement, it also wouldn't have happened! In comparison, people acted like Reyn had hurt her on purpose. Like his a well-known predator. The whole incident was an ACCIDENT. Ryen was driving at 14 without a license, but it wasn't (fully) his fault what happened. He shouldn't have driven in the first place, but the accident could have happened to any driver when a deer suddenly appears on a dark road.

Hamilton Bates and Gwendolyn Adams, worst couple names ever, are high school enemies who were once friends in grade school. The two now attend boarding school and have an ongoing feud based on socioeconomic status, cultural beliefs and competition. Both top swimmers, Bates and Adams spend an inordinate amount of time together despite him being a social titan and her being an antisocial outcast. Because of the overlap, they both think they know the other well enough to judge. So when Adams’s sister gets too sexually ambitious at a Devil’s party, the society Bates leads, she automatically assumes he is to blame. It is through the fall out and punishment from the party that the couple are pushed together more frequently, stoking their previously banked passions. The blond-haired brute at her new school already broke that rule once, and she won’t let him do it again. Unfortunately for Sugar, what she doesn’t realize is that for a guy like Sebastian, all rules are meant to be broken. The author published “Devil May Care” her debut work of fiction in 2020 which was the first of the “Boys of Preston Prep” series of novels. Somehow, as the book progressed, I started hating Hamilton less. He has some redeeming features. He might actually not be an inherently evil person. He might not be completely incapable of redemption. He might be worthy of love. A Vampire’s Curse” is the second novel in the “Creature of Habit” series, which was released in the year 2015. Amelia really should have ran when she had the chance to. Away from her job and Asheville. Most importantly though, away from her lethal boss, Grant Palmer. She believes he is here to be her friend, to take care of her, and this is why nobody else is able to hear or see him. That ends when a new boy turns up at the school after he allegedly did time in Juvie. Connor is able to see Evan and he is not convinced the ghost is being totally honest. Samantha Rue’s novel “Lords of Mercy” continues to follow the life and times of Story who agreed to become a Lord’s Lady for revenge and protection. Grant spends days in an expensive tie and suit, and funding charitable works for his family’s foundation. Nights are reserved for patrolling the tiny city of Asheville and the nearby mountainside in an effort to keep the residents safe from rogue vampires. Why? He has got his own collection of kills he feels he has to atone for that come from his own days as a bloodthirsty and rebellious killer. So it was just disappointing that Gwen didn’t seem to question his relationship after the 10th time they hooked up or so. Her works are known for their sexy, angsty situations and heroes who make for some very intriguing series.
